Sunshinde Kids Carseat Question or Any Other Suggestions?

Hey moms! I have a huge baby. He's 28 lbs and 30 inches at 9 months. When he was 3 months old he out grew his infant seat so I got a britax marathon. I love the seat! But I want to keep my son rear facing for longer than the year. I'm pretty sure by his birthday he'll either be close or past the 35 lbs. (I hope not) So in case he does I will buy a new seat. I've been looking into the Sunshine kids Radian XTSL, but it doesn't look that comfortable since the back looks like it's stick straight. Or do you have other suggestions. I won't use...

Are High Chairs a Necessity?

I'm currently in the process of registering for our little girl. I found a graco 4-1 highchair, but it seems to be awful pricey compared to others on the market...$180.00. I was talking to my mother about it and she seems to think that we will hardly use a highchair, let alone an all in one. I plan on breastfeeding for as long as possible as well...any suggestions?

Graco Snugride vs Graco Snugride 32

My baby is 10 mons and is outgrowing his Graco Snugride because of his height. I am referring to the "regular" Snugride that has limits of 29 in and 22 lb. I'm considering getting a used Snugride 32 just so I can have the convenience of the bucket for a few more months. Does anyone know if the "regular" Snugride travel system will accommodate the Snugride 32? (I know, I know. I should have tried it out at the store.) okay, yes, I do plan to buy a convertible after he turns a year. I just want to keep him in the bucket for two more months...

Convertible Car Seats for Tall Child

My son is just over 12 months and has been in the 95th percentile for height since birth. We've been using the Graco SnugRide 35 infant seat, and although he's nowhere near the weight limit, he's now pushing the height limit. We're looking into convertible seats and he's about an inch and a half shy of the "seated shoulder height" limit for those things. The tallest one we found had a limit of 16.75", and he's about 14.25" now. Following the growth chart, it looks like he'll grow that last inch or so in 3-6 months! Our dilemma is this....

Opinion on Graco Cribs

Does anyone have an opinion on Graco cribs? I haven't been able to find a store that displays them and have only been able to find them online from Walmart. I like the simplicity of their cribs but would like to 'kick the tires' before I purchased one. Or are there places in the area that have inexpensive but good looking cribs that we can look at in person?

Will a Graco Snugride Infant Seat Fit in Overhead Compartment?

My husband and I are taking a 5 hour cross country flight with our 4 month old son. We have not purchased a seat for him. The stroller we use is the Graco Snugride infant seat and frame. So if we try to check the stroller at the gate, the infant seat would have to be taken out in order for the frame to collapse. Has anyone tried to fit this infant seat in the overhead compartment? I'm packing the base in luggage, since we will need it for the rental car.

Graco Snugride or Safeseat?

Searching for a Quiet Swing

I am needing advice on swings. I currently have the "frame swing" from Graco. Basically it is just a frame that you snap your Graco Snugride into...I thought this is a great idea, but in reality it is like have a cement mixer in my bedroom the nights I have my daughter in it (she only goes in it when she is totally congested from teething. Does anyone have a swing they like that is on the quiet side? I know none are totally silent, but there has to be something out there that is not as loud. My daughter is only about 16 lbs so I know I...

Flat Head and Tummy Time

My daughter just turned 4 months and at her last 2 dr appointments, they have really encouraged tummy time to help the back of her head round out. I know as a former nanny the importance of tummy time for infants, but my baby seems to be very against it. I just wonder how far I should push it each time. She gets so upset on her tummy. But I worry without pushing it that the back of her head (which is pretty flat) won't round out and that she'll be delayed in crawling and pushing up on her hands. Should I keep just doing for a few minutes at...
