Ideas Needed for Sleeping Arrangements

I have a 10m daughter and we co-sleep in an arms reach co-sleeper. Recently, her sleep has been very restless. She wakes up several times a night, crying and crawling around, trying to stand in her cosleeper! Luckily, I wake up right away and catch her, but still. We need another sleeping arrangement. I realize I can put our matresses on the floor, but what about her co-sleeper? She'd be above us. Are there any kind of co-sleeping beds that work for a child who's slightly older? We still want her to have an enclosed, or partially...

Need Help on Nightime Weaning!!!

I'm willing to try anything! While I don't expect my 4 month old to sleep through the night, she's consistantly getting up to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours like clockwork. Most of the time, it seems she's not really drinking much. I give her a bottle of formula right before bed at around 8:30 p.m./9:00 p.m., and then when she wakes in the night, I'm nursing her. But she only nurses for about 5 minutes before drifting off to sleep again. I have to get up for work at 5:00 a.m. every morning and with her schedule, she's getting me up at 4...

What Would You Do in This Situation?

I have a friend who is way more "popular" than me. She is friendly, outgoing, funny, social, all that kind of stuff. So when I am with her, we have fun and she makes me laugh. But...I find it a little more than irritating that she never...okay, rarely, I do mean precisely rarely, has her iPhone less than arms reach away. Pretty much the entire time I am with her, she is texting her many other friends, sharing on facebook, and that one-on-one conversation is rare as she is incessantly texting her other friends. We went to the beach...

Summertime Swimming = PANIC ATTACK!

How can I as the parent get over my grave fear of taking my daughter swimming this summer? I am going to get her into swimming lessons, but I just have this horrible gut wrentching fear that she will drown! I think I am just looking for some advice on how to deal with the summertime swimming. Last year my daughter had just turned two and we did the pool thing one day and she went under and nearly drowned and that has just placed this fear into me. I just go into a complete panic even thinking about summer and swimming and going to the lake ...

Anyone Tried Arms Reach Co-sleeper Sleigh Bed

I think with baby #2 I would like to try a co-sleeper type bassinet. The first slept in bed with us for the first 4 months and then in his crib in our room for another month before moving to his own room. For our own peace of mind, I was looking at the Arms Reach Co-sleeper Sleigh Bed. Has anyone tried it?? It seems a little pricey so I am wondering if it's worth the investment.

8 Month Old Daughter Crying When People Walk Away

I am currently pursuing my master's degree, and my husband is still in school for his bachelor's degree, so to save money we are living with my parents. Our baby was a wonderful surprise, but this arrangement is actually working out very well in most ways. However, my father was recently laid off, so he is always home. He probably only spends 30 minutes a day actually playing with her, but my baby has developed a strong attachment to him. Every time he walks out of the room, she is inconsolable for minutes. She sometimes does this when...
