I am putting together a basket for my sister in law who is having her second (after a 6 year gap) (due in July) of "my favorite things" after having my 8 month old. Any suggestions would be appreciated, So far, I have a set of books by Helen Oxenburry, a container of Boogie Wipes, a floppy sun hat, a set of light weight receiving blankets (swaddle wraps) and a pinky purse. I am looking to start weaning my 8 month old son, but am having problems getting him to take formula. He will take a bottle, no problem, but he won't take formula. I've tried Similac Advance, Enfamil, and just bought some soy formula today to see if that will make a difference. It doesn't matter if its me trying to give it, or my husband. I even had my husband try to mix half formula and half breastmilk, and he refused. I know he can smell the difference, and the taste is obviously different. It's not looking good. Any advice?

The past few weeks have been tough. My hubby is working crazy crazy hours and is gone 14+ hours a day leaving me and the kiddo at home.
