Soothing a Cough

My daughters have had several colds this winter, but their latest one is lingering in the form of a nasty cough. My elder daughter is almost 3 and she will cough so hard that she gags. This is making her very cranky during the day and wakes her up three or four times a night. I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for soothing her cough.

Teething problems....I Think??????

My 9 mo. old has been teething since he was 3 mos. old. When he was 6 and 6 1/2 mos. old he cut his two bottom teeth and the past few weeks he's been trying to cut his top teeth. However for the past week or so he's been unbearable to handle. He stopped eating his usual rice cereal and baby foods and has only wanted to nurse (but that has even been hit or miss). 22 Month on Albuterol for More than 2 Weeks

My son was hospitalized over 2 weeks ago for his breathing issues. When he got out we went about a week and a half with albuterol treatment about twice a day. When I was certain his breathing was back to normal I stopped the treatment. The very next day he is sick again and I noticed really fast breathing timed his breathing and he was over 40 breaths per minute, did a breathing treatment and called the pediatrician in the morning.
