Silly Question - Quick Trips to Target, Etc

Fellow moms and I are discussing something (and a few dads are chiming in....) When you need to run into Target or a similar establishment to grab a few things and you are alone except for the kids, what do you do with the small baby? Leave him/her in the car seat and just carry the car seat in and put the seat in one of the carts? Haul the huge heavy stroller out and push him/her in that? Just carry him/her in your arms?

Humidifier in Nursery

Hi moms My 3 month old has a mild cold with a little congestion. I've heard it's good to have a cool-mist humidifier running in the nursery during the winter months, when it's dry, and have also heard one should only run it when the baby is sick, otherwise there could be a mold issue. I didn't grow up in this climate, so have no past experience to draw on. Should I run a humidifier continuously in his nursery? (We have steam heat in our condo.) Should I just run it while he's sick, or at night? Any other thoughts or experiences...

Baby Scratches Himself While Trying to Suck His Thumb - Advice?

I have a 3 1/2 month old who will not take a pacifier. He tries to suck his thumbs/hands but when he's lying down, it's hard for him to find his mouth. While trying, he scratches his head and face badly. I cut his fingernails every day but it doesn't seem to help. Any advice on how to help him find his hand/thumb to prevent the scratching? I think once he finds it, he'll be able to soothe himself and sleep better at night too.

Target Brand Formula??

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the "off brands" of formula. I have a 1 month old son and I started him on Enfamil Lipil w/Iron.... and while on my shopping trip I found the Target brand has all of the exact same ingredients. Well, I bought it because it was 1/2 the price of Enfamil...I just fed him 4 oz. and tried to put him to bed but it seemed like he was still hungry and about 1 1/2 hrs. later I had to feed him about 2-3 more oz. Now, i don't know if it was just coincidence that it was the new formula or if he was...

Husband Can't Soothe 6 Week Old - Mom Has No Break - Any Ideas?

Hi Ladies, I am writing to find out your experiences so that I can share them with my Husband. I stay at home with our new six week old daughter whom I adore beyond belief. I am at her beckon cry because that is what you are supposed to do when they are this little :) I breastfeed but pump a bottle every couple days so that my husband can feed her once in a while. She is still waking up at night on average every 2.5 to 3 hours, sometime a little longer or shorter, we got our first 4ish hours stretch a couple of nights ago - yeah! ...
