Reaction to Albuterol

Hello, Mamas! I need some feedback. Our 3 year old son has asthma issues only when he has a respiratory illness. During those time, we have successfully given him his albuterol inhaler as a daily treatment for the wheezing and coughing until the illness subsides and he no longer needs it. That lasts maybe a week at the most. It's been over 10 months since the last time he had to use the inhaler, and we had to use it last night. However, within about 5 minutes, he started itching on his legs like crazy and the left side of face got...

Can I Give Liquid Albuterol and Benedryl to My 2Month Old?

Obviously, I'd call her doctor if was around or a pharmacist but they're all closed. My daughter was prescribed liquid albuterol for her cough on Friday but its not doing anything for her head congestion and the cough is still around also. I gave her dose of albuterol at 420 I was gonna skip the next dose and give her the benedryl instead. Her doctor did tell me give it to her as needed. Just curious if they have interactions or how I could find out if they are ok to mix for a infant. Thanks!

Seeking Advice on Boosting Son's Immune System

Hi, my son is 15-months-old. He was formula fed for the first year of his life, which I regret. Ever since he was 4-months-old, he has had the problem of getting sick every 2 weeks, like clockwork. It ALWAYS begins with sneezing. He starts sneezing, and I know he is going to be sick in a day or two. Then, his sneezing gets so bad, that he looks like a walrus with the gunk hanging from his nose, or it will shoot across the room. It's really quite disgusting. Then, it goes down into his chest, and we have to treat him with albuterol...

22 Month on Albuterol for More than 2 Weeks

My son was hospitalized over 2 weeks ago for his breathing issues. When he got out we went about a week and a half with albuterol treatment about twice a day. When I was certain his breathing was back to normal I stopped the treatment. The very next day he is sick again and I noticed really fast breathing timed his breathing and he was over 40 breaths per minute, did a breathing treatment and called the pediatrician in the morning. He added a month steroid given through the nebulous or and children's Allegra and said continue with the...

Soothing a Cough

My daughters have had several colds this winter, but their latest one is lingering in the form of a nasty cough. My elder daughter is almost 3 and she will cough so hard that she gags. This is making her very cranky during the day and wakes her up three or four times a night. I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions for soothing her cough.
