How to Deal - Dont Get Me Wrong I Love Him to Death.

This Is a very complicated situation. I'm 21, married, 8 months pregnant, and still living with my Dad. I have a 2 year old daughter and stay at home all day everyday. My husband and I have been trying to get on our feet for some time now but my father has us paying all his bills plus our own. Not to mention diapers, wipes, etc. My husbands income is barely enough to pay the bills. We cant put any money back at all. We've cut out all the pleasures for ourselves. I want so desperately to have my own home with my own rules etc. My Dad wont...

Should I Email the Teacher?

Hi Moms! I need some help! Thanks in advance for those of you who reply. This morning I had my 8th grade daughter walk my Kindergardener to class for me. She said as her and my son walked in a little boy was pointing and saying look. At that moment the little girl he was saying this to turns around and says " ah, I don't like him." This really bothered me. I was thinking of emailing the teacher to see if something was going on that the little girl feels this way. Not an attack of course she is a kid but I don't want this to continue. She...

Should I Donate My Son's Clothes or Keep Them for Brother

Hey Moms, This probably sounds silly, but I want to know what other moms do. My storage room is very limited in space. My two sons are 4 years apart. My oldest is 4-1/2 years and his brother is 6 mos. I have been saving my oldest son's clothes for the youngest and have accumulated quite a bit. I'm wondering, since my storage space is very limited, if I should just donate my oldest son's clothes instead of hanging on to them for his little brother. Is four years a huge change in clothing styles? I've never been down this road...

Theatre Manners (Live and Movies)

Last night I brought my six year old to see the stage production of the Lion King. It was absolutely amazing and I am so glad we went! It is the first show of that scale that he has attended and the longest at nearly 3 hours. I had several conversations with him about manners, emphasizing that the theatre is a very special place, people pay a lot to be there, and we need to be respectful of the actors and others who put on the production. You may clap and of course laugh, but no talking while the lights are down AT ALL. So we arrived,...

Need Ideas for 3 Yr Old Girl B-day Party on a Tight Budget

My daughter is turning 3 on Jan 26. This will really be her first real birthday party with friends - she missed her birthday party last year because she was in the hospital. She had a heart transplant this year and I really want to make it special for her. Unfortunately we are on an extremely tight budget for this. Any ideas? It will probably be at our house, but what do you do for a home party? She hasn't been able to go to any either so I am seriously in the dark here. Help!!

How Much $ to Spend on a Classmates Birthday Party Gift?

My daughter is in kindergarten and has been invited to 3 parties in one month. It's very nice and my daughter is super excited but it's starting to break the bank. And I don't know these girls real well because they're from her classroom so we keep running into how much do we spend and what do we buy? These parties my daughter's been invited too have been pretty spendy it's costing the host $9-$15 dollars per kid. So my question is what's a fair good amount to spend and what are some creative or good ideas on gifts. I'm not really into...

Too Much TV

This is going to sound bad, and that's because I know it is. But my 3 year old daughter watches entirely too much TV. Between 8-12 hours a day. I know that sounds horrible, but here's the situation. My husband works full time. I work part time, but I also go to school full time. We absolutly can not afford day care of any kind, so I go to school online from home so that I can be here with my daughter. But my school work takes up easily 8-9 hours a day (like I said, full time) for class work and homework. It is very hard for me to manage my...
