I am a first time mom and I was discussing birth options with my OB. I have the option to have a scheduled c-section and I am highly considering this. I've had a laparotomy which is very comporable to a c-section in post-op pain and recovery, so I am prepared for that. When I had my lap it was about an 8 week recovery. Our daughter is now 6 months and has been sleeping in an Arms Reach co-sleeper since birth and has always started out the night there except the first few weeks. Signs of Premature Labor and Now Bedrest- Help!

I am 33 weeks pregnant and started to show signs of premature labor earlier this week. My doctor ran me through several tests and things came back that the baby is healthy and everything is okay for the time being. I am dilating and partially effaced already so my doctor suggested partial bed rest for now. I am still a little uneasy about going into premature labor (I realize that is out of my control) and how to manage bed rest with a very active 16 mo. Any advice and/or encouragement is welcome!
