Activities and Crafts for 10 Year Old Boys

I need some suggestions on activities for my two 10 year old boys during the summer in my daycare. There are soooo many crafts for girls, but not for boys. I already have planned for them to work on their own scrapbooks. This is such a hard age to keep occupied without resorting to video games. We do have weekly field trips, but I need activity ideas on a day to day basis. Thanks P.S. How Do You Play with Your Kid(s)?

I have just one daughter, 6 years old. I work full time so the mommy guilt is very strong. I love to play board games, read books, go to the park and play outdoor games, etc. These are all things she likes to do, however, she loves to play dolls and Barbies and pretend games. I suck at these things and would rather do anything other than play dolls. Any suggestions as to how I can improve my imagination or "learn" how to play dolls again? I know this won't last forever so I want to have fun with her but not be totally bored and obviously...
