6Wk Old Baby Needs to Be Held to Sleep

Hi, i understand that baby's sleep habits will change from time to time. I want to know if my baby girl 6 wks is too young to let cry to sleep. since birth she slept alot until recently. being more and more awake and less naps. (which of course means less sleep for me). i know she gets tired and cranky and wants to sleep but have trouble falling asleep sometimes (especially when i want her to at night) unless i let her sleep on my chest or hold up on my shoulders. Naps for 6 Week Old

My six week old refuses to nap. She takes maybe a few short cat naps during the day. Like 3 or 4 20 min. naps. I really don't think this is enough sleep for a baby so young. Also she will only nap in her swing. If i lay her in her pack and play or crib she immediately wakes up. I have tried laying her down awake but drowsy and letting her fuss for a bit but she becomes hysterical. It is strange b/c she sleeps good at night in her pack n play. What Is the Most Versatile Carrier?

We recently switched our soon-to-be 5 month old baby's car seat and it isn't a traveller kind. We are now faced with how to easily carry our baby when we grocery shop and run errands. A stroller isn't practical while grocery shopping. And just when we want to go into the store, she falls asleep. We have a Snugli carrier, but it is like putting together a puzzle to put it together and to get our baby in there is a royal pain. Plus, it is very uncomfortable to wear the baby in.
