Pumping at Work

I am just wondering if anyone out there is a teacher and has tried to pump rather than use formula when going back to work? I will be off for the first six weeks of school with a newborn and will nurse, but once I go back I want to pump. I will only be able to pump when the kids go to PE and possibly at lunch, and I am wondering when I will get everything else done that teachers must do!! If I have parents come to visit during PE, then there goes my pump time and I will have engorgement problems the rest of the day. I would love any...

Returning to Full Time Work - Still Breastfeeding

Hey Mamas, I'm the proud mother to a sweet 7 month old little girl who is 80% breastfed. She sometimes has the odd bottle of formula at night time when I'm home, and is given formula when I'm at work. Which has been 2-3 days a week (but mostly nights). I've just received a promotion which means I'm going to full time work, which is spread between day shifts and night shifts. As much as I didn't want to stop breastfeeding just yet, it's impractical for me to be pumping at work. I did it for months a little while ago and it is such a...

Medela Bottles Your Experience.

Hi Ladies! I am buying a Medela breast pump and want to buy the bottles to match. The Medela bottles are pretty much the most expensive ones I will ever buy, but they seem kinda flimsy. Do you have experience with them? The plastic seems pretty thin. I wonder how they hold up in the dishwasher and over time. Any experience is greatly appreciated.

I Want to Wean My Baby, How Do I Do It?

I have been breast feeding my 10 month old daughter exclusively. I am ready to wean her off the breast. But she will not take a bottle. I've been giving her water in the sippy cup, and she drinks it just fine. I have been trying to get her to drink diluted formula in the sippy cup, but she gags on it. Does anyone have any advice on how to get her to drink the formula? Is it maybe the brand? I have been using Enfamil and I know it is kinda gross.
