Garage Sale Vs. Craigslist

I'm hoping that someone can help me with some garage sale questions. A friend is having a garage sale and I'm putting some stuff in it. Do people even buy clothes any more from garage sales? I have a lot of 0-3 month baby stuff. Some of it is in great shape and name brands (Boden, Ralph Lauren, etc.). Would I get a lot more for it if I just put a lot of it on Craigslist? Same question for adult clothes. Thanks.

How Do You Build a Decent Wardrobe with a Tight Budget?

I was looking at my wardrobe the other day and my how I could use some new items -something w/color, pizzazz, even some new basic brown and black pants would be nice. Items that are classic and stylish at the same time. I am all for shopping the sale racks or even thrift stores. However, how do I know what looks good on me? How do I not feel guilty about buying something for myself when we have a lot to take care of financially? I always think...oh, my daughter could use a new pair of shoes or we need to buy groceries or something else...

I'm just wondering what you spend on clothing for your kids each year? I have a 4 year old boy and 7 year old girl who seem to outgrow most of their clothing every year. To date, I have been buying most of their clothes at second hand stores or on the clearance racks at places like Target or Walmart. However, as they get older, I am finding the quality of clothing at the second hand stores isn't as good (i.e., more worn, less selection, etc.) and that my daughter is already asking for some name brand clothing. I am thinking I'm going to...

Anyone Have Advice or Knowledge of Adoption?

My husband and I have both felt called to adopt. I gave birth to a son 20 months ago, and I would like to become pregnant again...eventually:) However, lately I've really felt like we are supposed to adopt. I don't know when, I don't know who or what age, and I really don't know anything about the adoption process. I've heard it is really expensive. I only work a few hours a week (I'm living my dream career of being a mommy when I'm not working) and my husband has a pretty good full time job. He is in the process of working towards...
