Runny Nose and Wet Cough Days After Having Fevere for 2 Days

She had fever up to 102 for two days. The doctor sad that it's just a virus and it will go away by itself. 2 days after the fever she stared having runny nose and wet cough. And I am worried that this is just escalating into something more serious. In all her life she never had a fever before and only had runny nose twice for a day. And I tend to freak out 😱😩

Postpartum Joint Pain

Since having my son in January, I've had increasing joint pain in my knees (and thumbs!), along with some back pain -- feels almost arthritic. At first I thought it was just the normal wear-and-tear of my new daily routine along with lack of sleep. Well, I've been getting normal sleep now that baby sleeps through most -- if not all -- of the night, but the pain has only gotten worse. Has anyone else had this postpartum joint pain? Does it go away after breastfeeding maybe?

The School Says My 6 Yr Old Has A.D.D. Not the Hyperactivity Type

Hi my son just turned siz at the end of August and started first grade at the same time. He struggled thru kindergarten and then we found out he needed his tonsils, adenoids out and tubes put in his ears and he failed his hearing test. Had all this done and now hes been in school for two weeks after his surgery and the teacher tells me has add and needs medication in order to succeed in school. I am wondering if anyone has gone thru this and is there any herbal or homeopathic medicines to try. I am going to see pediatrician on Monday. ...

Autism and the Army

I was wondering if any mothers out there who are military mommies can tell me anything about having a child with autism while being in the military. My DH is joining the army and I just want to have some things cleared up that I've been wondering about this past week. Okay so the recruiter told us that our son would receive a "check" or "payment" monthly because of his autism. Is this true?? And if so how much will this payment be? If this is not true...then can someone tell me if you know about being able to keep receiving an ssi...

I Have a 5 1/2 Year Old Girl Who Is Wetting Her Bed, 1 or 2 Times a Night

Hi...my 5 1/2 year old is wetting her bed. I guess we let her stay in pull-ups a little too long for night time and now it is a real problem getting her to stop wetting the bed. This is what we have tried...no drinks about 45mins-1hr before bed, going to bathroom before bed, getting up around 1-2am to go to the bathroom. And if she has wet the bed before we can get her to the potty then we clean her up, change her and bedding and put her back to bed. And then in the morning, sometimes, she will still wake up with a wet bed with all of...

I give her multi vitamins, and I'm doing airbourn now. I'm really at my wits end here. I cant stand to watch her be unhealthy any longer. not to mention shes is keeping my 9 month...

5 Month Old with Cancer

Hey mamas, I got some very depressing news today from my sister. Her 5 month old, her only child, had a mass in his stomach, what they later found out was cancer. It is in or around his kidneys, and they are running several tests tonight and in the morning to see where it is, how big it is, and what type of cancer it is. I can't even imagine. Whoever you pray to, whatever you believe in, whoever your God may be, please pray for my nephew tonight and throughout the week. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer and good thoughts, so...

Cerebral Palsy and 5 Yr Old Boy

I am looking for opinions, I have one of my triplet boys and he is 5 yrs young and now needing to change from ppcd ashe turns 5. He is not ready for kindergarden as he is no where near being able to talk/communicate or walk. He is however very smart (being my son), lovable and can communicate so well that we are all wrapped around his finger. he can climb, cruze, uncoordinated in a walking frame but likes to use it! says bah! bah! for everything and eats well - blended food ( bites people affectionately but does not bite foor). Constipated 4 Month Old

My girlfriend's son is 4 months old and is breastfed. He has been severely constipated for most of his life. The doctor told her to give him 2 oz. of water every day and also to cover a thermometer with vaseline and give him an enema. I wanted to climb on here and ask our fellow mommies what they have done for their little ones in similar situations. Any advice, i'm not sure who I feel more sorry for, mommy or baby! ps....she tried giving him corn syrup mixed with breastmilk, which seemed to work for a couple of days, then the doc...

Diarrhea - What to Do

Hi- My daughter is 10 months old and has diarrhea ever since we were at the doctors office for her check-up a week and a half ago. She did not receive any vaccines however, she did receive her first dose of the flu shot. She has no other signs of being sick, ie; no fever, still eating well and over all good spirits. I am not sure what to do. She is eating table food in addition to being breast fed four times a day. Any suggestions about what to do would be great. Thank you!!

Audi Q 5 vs Lexus RX 350

Ladies, I have two small kids and it's been almost a year since I started to work full time. I have a good salary and decided it's time to buy an SUV. My practical side tell me to buy Lexus Rx 350, spacious, soft drive for kids, maybe in grey color so my husband can occasionally drive it too... My fun "bad mom" (the new movie) side tells me to get a white Audi Q 5 - looks great but I know it's not as reliable as Lexus. I am sorry I might sound like a spoiled brat to some people. Prior to this I drove a 2008 silver Camry and I am so...

Very Touchy Question.

I have a very touchy question to ask, so i need your true and honest opinion. My daughter was born special needs and she has severe mental delay. Most of the girls with her disability suffer from precocious puberty which means puberty comes at an early age, as young as 8 years of age, sometimes 7. We are talking about hair under the arms, on the legs and in the pubic region, menstrual cycles start to kick in and full puberty changes are on the roll! Thing is, because of the severe mental delay these girls suffer, they dont realize that...

So my question is two fold....My 23 month old has mono and we are back to waking up multiple times throughout the night. Eczema...or Is It?

For a while I have believed my son has had eczema and have treated it as such. I use free and clear detergent and frangrance free shampoo and sunscreen. When he breaks out in a rash I use Curetal lotion for Eczema until it goes away. If it doesn't then I use a couple applications of hydrocortisone and that does the trick. THen it goes away for a few months. -However, I've been wondering if what he has is eczema or something else. The description of eczema doesn't seem to fit his rash so I thought maybe some of you could help. -It is...

Daycare vs Nanny for 6 Month Old

Dear moms, I am wondering whether to send my baby to daycare vs keep her at home with a nanny when she turns 6 months old. She is currently 9 weeks old, and when she was 4 weeks old she had a uti, that freaked us all out. I am wondering how promptly they would change her diaper, and how quickly they would notice a dirty diaper. The daycare I am considering is considered to be a good one for whatever it's worth. I wish I could stay home with her, but unfortunately I have to work. Thank you!
