Is It an Allergy Rash, Hypersensitivity or What???

Hello ladies: I have a 61/2 mos old boy and I'm very concern. He has developed a terrible rash, on his little butt that at this point I'm not sure what it could be. It looks like he sat on a hot plate and got a serious burn. It mildly started about 2 mos ago and I took him to the pediatrician and she said to use hydrocortisone and if it continued she thought I would eventually either have to get a hypoallergenic diaper or use cloth diapers. I originally had some diaper changes and finally decided to go back to what he has been using since...

Raw Spots After a Diaper Rash.

My 14 month old had a diaper rash that has cleared up, but she still has several red raw spots we can't get to go away. We're using Aquaphor, Butt Paste, and sun through the window when we can (she doesn't stay still long enough). We do cloth diapers and change her frequently to get the wet off, but they're not healing. Any recommendations?! Thanks so much!

Seeking Pediatric Dermatologist or Advice in Lower Merion

My 6 1/2 yo daughter has recurrent vaginal irritation and I need some advice. There is redness and itching. Her pediatricians just tell us to use a 'lotrimin' cream every day...but the irritation remains or comes back and I am concerned. Should I go to a dermatologist/nutritionist/someone else? Any advice is appreciated. If you do recommend going to a pediatric dermatologist, can you please provide a name?

Has Your Child's Doctor Ever....

Prescribed the wrong medicine? Is this a forgivable offense? We were in the office yesterday and my baby has thrush along with diaper yeast infection. The doctor told me to get lotrimin for his rash and that he would prescribe something for the thrush in his mouth. It was oral nystatin. Well, I picked up the prescription and luckily I read everything over and over and it was the nystatin ointment for skin. So he prescribed the right medicine but the wrong form...I just keep thinking what if I was someone who didn't double, triple check...
