Most Useful New Infant Item You had...please share...especially Preemie Parents

So my SIL gave birth VERY early last 30.5 weeks gestation. My niece weighed in at 2 lbs, 1 oz. She has done vent the whole time, no emergencies and while she has not gained any weight yet, she is maintaining her birth weight at this point. She looks wonderful...even a full head of hair! I thought fat and hair grew last?? She is a tiny little spectacular miracle! She will be needing some selections of preemie clothes, and other such things. But I am wondering what were the most useful things you had for Preemies...

What Do You Really Need for an Infant?

So it's been 8 years since I last had a baby to care for. I am expecting again and am at a loss for what I really need and trying to prioritize. I have looked at many registries and think they include a lot of frivolous items (wipe warmers ect) So if you could go back in time and know then what you know now, what are your must have items. When I say I have nothing I mean not one baby item at all. I know I'll need a crib, clothes, ect. I also plan on breastfeeding, so I will need a pump for when I return to work and there are so many to...

How to Transition to Crib from Sleeping Propped up on Boppy

My daughter is 6 wks old and seems to sleep best when propped up. She's always swaddled to limit the movement and tendency to wake herself. We try to lay her down in her crib when she's falling asleep (or already asleep), but she wakes herself up because she'll either roll around a bit or just startle herself. So right now, she sleeps next to me at night propped up on a Boppy. I think the upright position helps her with her digestion and lets her sleep better, but I want her to start sleeping in her crib. Are there any products that...

Getting a Baby to Sleep Longer Through the Night.

Just wondering if anyone had any tips, techniques, advice on getting a baby to sleep longer through the night. I have a 7 week old who was sleeping 5 to 6 hours through the night but now is starting to only sleep 3 hours. He does wake up sometimes because he has gas (any advice on that would be helpful too - I think if he didn't have gas he might be sleeping longer too). I breastfeed him and he sleeps in a bassinet right next to me (and every sound he makes tends to wake me up). Thanks for the help.

5-Month Old Won't Sleep More than 2 Hours in a Row

Hello Mamas - I desperately need your help. About a month ago, we transitioned my daughter from the bassinet to the crib. She had been waking up once or twice a night while sleeping in the bassinet. Ever since she has been in the crib, she has woken up every 1.5 to 2 hours, like clockwork. I literally have not slept more than 2 hours in a row since then, and am at my wits end. I nurse her full-time, and it is the easiest way to get her to go back to sleep, so that is what we've been doing. Occasionally if she wakes up sooner than 2...
