Good Teethers/teething Toys??

Hi Moms, my daughter is chewing everything she can get her little hands on (including her hands!) so I am wondering if any of you have recommendations for good teethers or teething toys? Her hands are still very little but I want to have some items ready to go for her....thanks!

Looking for the Best Mini Electric Breast Pump

Hi Ladies, We are expecting our 3rd baby in August, so I'm starting to compile a list of things I will need. I am looking for a good, mini electric breast pump that is not too expensive and easy to clean and assemble. I will only be pumping occassionally like when I have to go somewhere and leave the baby at home with my husband. I supplemented with formula with my son, and never pumped so I have no experience with pumps. I have looked at both the Playtex mini dual pump, and the Evenflow mini dual pump. Has any used either of these,...

My Sons Eating Habits

My son is 9 months old and is off the growth charts. He has 5 teeth, and is in 18 month clothing because of his height not because of his weight (which he weighs 21 lbs. The problem that I have is he will eat 2 stage 3 jars of baby food like it is nothing and his doctor says I am over feeding him. However if I give him anything less he throws a fit and will sit by the refrigerator and try to open it to get more food. On top of it his doctor said that he should be off of bottles all together and drinking out of a sippy cup. My problem is...

Seeking Advice for Transitioning a 16Mos Out of Family Bed

I have a sweet and tenacious 16 month old boy who has shared our bed since he was born at home. He sometimes nurses once or twice (on a tough night, teething, etc)a night but ususally sleeps until 6 or 7 before he wakes and wants to nurse. We love sharing a bed together but, both his dad and I are tall ppl and he is following suit. Bottom line is that our king bed is getting too small for us all to fit comfortably and I think my son is waking sometimes just for that reason...not enough room. The other issue is that I have nursed him to...

What Do You Think About Negative Press over Plastic Baby Bottles and Sippy Cups?

I just wanted to get some other moms opinions on the articles I have read about plastic bottles and sippys. Studies have shown that bottles and sippys made out of polycarbonate can leach out a harmful chemical called bisphenol-A into the milk. I am not sure if this is only if the bottle or cup is heated or if it does it all the time. They say sterilizing them can also break the plastic down. I have always used Dr. Browns for my baby and she will only drink her formula heated. I don't put it in the microwave I just sit in a cup of hot...

Transitioning from Nuby Sippy Cup to Hard Spout

My son(11.5 months) has used a Nuby sippy cup since he was 6 months old to drink water and juice. He holds them well and loves to drink from them. I have been a bit disappointed, though, because all of his sippies have started to leak like crazy over the past month, so I figured it would be a good time to transition to another cup since I can't stand the leakage wanted to transition him to a bigger cup anyway. I purchased the gerber sippies with handles and a harder spout(still a bit soft). It has a valve to control leaking, but my son will...
