Organizing Toys and Children's Stuff!

I have an almost 2 year old and I feel like I'm continually trying to figure out how to organize his toys. How do you organize the toys so things don't get too cluttered and your kids can find and play with toys they like? Do you rotate the toys on a regular basis.. if so.. how do you store them? I'm looking forward to some ideas. I'm up to buying some cheapish organizational system... but don't want to spend much money.

Need Recommendations for Best Toy Organization System!

I am going to go out and buy something to organize the piles of toys we have accumulated in our house over the last 4 years - after a good "purge" of course. The Christmas influx has now completely overloaded the plastic bins we already have to hold our 50 million match box cars, art supplies, etc. so I am looking for something that can maybe go vertical. I have seen some systems at Costco and Ikea that look reasonable, but not sure which is best. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Looking for Kid-Friendly Back-packs

Hi Moms Does anyone know where I can find Kid-Friendly, PVC Free, or Eco Friendly Back-Packs for my 6 year old daughter. I have looked at various stores... Meijer, Dunnams, Targets and not able to find any thing that is not made in China. I did try to google this and came up with very high priced (very nice) but too expensive Back-packs that I have to order. Any where in the Macomb/Oakland area would be great. I was able to find a "safe" lunch box at Target and Meijer and that was all they had but--happy to find that. If anyone...

Shopping with Car Seat

I am a new mom who has the Chicco travel system. My question is that when I need to take my son with the car seat on to a shopping cart and into a store, this car seat doesn't seem to fit securely on top of the shopping cart. I have checked out the manual for the travel system and can't seem to find any helpful hints for this. So I have been putting the car seat with him right in to the shoping cart. Needless to say this takes up all the room. No room for groceries...anyone have this problem or am I just missing it...

The Best Booster Seat

I am interested in moving my daughter to a new seat (which is my sons old car seat), so I want to get a booster seat for my son. He just turned three. I've looked at Target and there are several kinds. Does anyone have a really good feeling about the booster seat they have for their toddler? I don't know if we should go with the five point system, like he has now or to go with one that uses the seatbelt to strap him in, like he'll have to get used to in the future. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Asking for Other Mom's Input on How They Are Cutting Back During the Recession.

Hi everyone, Since we're in a Recession and hopefully the only time the market will be this bad during our adult lives, I would love to hear/share ideas of what other moms are doing to cut back on their family's expenses. On our end, we want to contribute the same amount to our 401Ks right now while stocks are cheap. We're not perfect, just trying to eat most of our meals in right now and consolidate trips to the store. I've also been buying diapers and wipes in bulk and am dropping my cell phone for a trac phone since I don't use very...

Should I Get Double Stroller?

I recently asked a question about recommendations on a travel system for my 3rd baby girl due Oct 23rd......but I've been thinking....Should I be getting a double stroller and infant carrier instead? My girls are 6 yrs and 19 months, so the 19 month old will be almost 2 when the new baby is born. Would i be better off getting a double? The more I think about it, with having a 2 yr old and newborn I'll probably need it for when I have to put the 2 yr old in a stroller too... If so, which one!? Chicco seems to get good reviews for the...
