18 Month Old Twins, Not Having Any More Kids. I Have TONS of Gear to Sell.

I have a ton of great, very gently used baby gear and it needs to go. Beautiful matching bassinets, arms reach cosleeper, peg perego high chair, kelty meadow frame carrier, evenflo exersaucer, 2 matching 3 speed swings, 1 6 speed winnie the pooh swing with a 5 point harness (great for very active wigglers). I live in Andersonville on teh north side of Chicago.

Child Leashes- Thoughts?

What do you lovely parents think of the child backpack leash? We are going to Disney in a couple months and I never would have dreamed of needing one with my older child who never even tried to stray away from me, but my 2 year old is the up and coming Olympian in speed sprinting. This girl can take off and be gone in seconds and it makes me nervous. She is also in the throws of the terrible 2's and I am just worried that she is going to take off on me and I am going to lose her in a crowd of people. I did get ID bracelets for...

Out Growing Arms Reach Co-sleeper, What Now?

Our daughter is now 6 months and has been sleeping in an Arms Reach co-sleeper since birth and has always started out the night there except the first few weeks. She currently goes to bed in the co-sleeper at 7pm and is out relatively quickly unless she is having a bad teeth night or got over tired due to missing a nap during the day. I recently figured out how to nurse in bed on my side (about time!) and she wakes at about 4am to nurse and I have been bringing her into bed and feeding her and then she sleeps the rest of the night in bed...

I Feel like Such a Jerk!!

I'm reeeally paranoid when I sell stuff on craigslist. I will almost never have someone come buy something unless my fiance is home. Well today, I broadcasted to facebook that someone was coming, this is the guys name, if I'm not back on in an hour call the cops. I also placed several weapons around the house within arms reach if anything happened. Turns out, the gentleman buying my curio cabinet was this teeny little old man buying it for his adorable little old wife for mothers day. HOW CUTE IS THAT?! He showed me her picture...

Need Help with Playards...

My first question is: does anyone know up to what age before an infant/baby can start sleeping in a bed and you can use a playard for them to sleep in up until then? The reason why I'm asking is: I want to get my Mom either a Playard (Ex. Graco pack n' play) or an Arms Reach Co-Sleeper for her to use when I go to visit her or when she babysits for my baby to sleep in until at least he/she can sleep in a bed, which I believe is around 1 1/2 to 2 years old depending on the child obviously. My Mom only has a small apartment and can't...

Tubs & Safety

Ladies - Our little one is just about 8 months old. Generous souls at our baby shower gifted us not one, but two infant tubs. Nontheless, we have barely been using them. We find it wasier to give little one a rinse in the kitchen sink, or holding him in the shower. Now that he's gotten bigger, stronger, wrigglier, and far more mobile, I am at a loss on what to do. Also, between his bigger BMs and the crawling, it looks like we are going to have to bathe him more often. The shower optionno longer seems safe, neither do the infant...

Best Jogging Stroller

I am looking for your opinions on jogging strollers. I am hoping to find one that is great for jogging as well as general everyday use. Ideally I would like to have one that comes with an infant seat or that can accommodate one with an adapter. Please let me know your experiences with particular brands and models. I am open to all price ranges as I want this to be an investment and plan to use it until the wheels fall off!

5 Month Old Has Teeth and Wants to Bite While Feeding

Hello ladies, My lil guy is 5 1/2 months old, and within the last couple months hes been teething really bad. He already has his two bottom teeth and lately anything that is within arms reach he chews on, including my breast while feeding. Normally i can get him to let go, but recently he has been biting down all the way and pulling. Do any of you know how I can get him to stop. Right now, when he starts biting, i just give him a bottle. once he starts biting he doesn't stop. I would really like to continue to breastfeed, but im finding it...
