Toddler Sleeping Arrangement in a Hotel

My daughter will be turning 3 in Feb and has recently transitioned from a crib to a toddler bed. All is good so far, BUT we have a family vacation planned in early Feb where we will be staying in a hotel. In the past, she has always slept in a Pack n Play when not at home, however I don't want to have to lug it along on vacation (we're flying, renting a car, etc) or run the risk of her wanting to revert back to wanting to sleep in a crib. I've already thought about bringing a sleeping bag or side rails for the hotel bed but REALLY would...

"Portable" Bed Rail?

Has anyone used the Safety 1st or Regalo portable bed rails? Or really any portable bed rails? I have found several places that sell them on-line, but cannot find anythign that tells me how portable they truly are (i.e. how small they fold down, etc.) I'm planning on taking a week long trip with my then 21 month old who is currently sleeping in a toddler bed and I'd rather travel with a bedrail (we have 2 beds in all of our reserved hotel rooms) than a Pack 'n Play, but I'm not sure how portable the rails are? Thanks!!!

Transition from Crib to Bed

Hi Moms! I'm wondering when is the appropriate age to transition from crib to bed. Mine are almost 18-months-old now. Do you use bedrails so they don't fall out? We have those convertible cribs that will turn into beds. Any input is appreciated - thanks! * I should have mentioned that I have triplets, as a few of you guessed I have multiples. We are not looking to rush it & we are definitely NOT expecting more! LOL! I just wasn't sure what the range was, as they are my first. They haven't tried climbing out yet, but I'm guessing that's...

Travel Beds for 2 Year Old That Still Sleeps in a Crib...

Hi Moms! My son is 28 months old and we are getting set for some hefty travel plans over Christmas. My mom's house won't be a problem as she has a regular sized crib, but my in-laws don't have anything and so we have to bring our own arrangements for my son. He has definitely outgrown his Pack'n'Play. At home, my son still happily sleeps in his crib and hasn't yet tried to climb out, so we are not any too eager to move to a toddler bed until we have to. At child care, he sleeps on a cot for naps, although never as good or as long as he...

Travel Bed for 3 Year Old Who JUST Transitioned to Toddler Bed

I'll be visiting my parents' home (on the West Coast) for 2 1/2 weeks and am wondering what the best sleep arrangement would be for my 3 year old daughter while we're there. We JUST transitioned her from the crib to a new toddler bed (which she loves). We've previously just had her sleep in bed with us at my parents' (after she started climbing out of the pack-n-play we had there) but I don't want to do that and then have trouble getting her back into her new bed when we return. I'm thinking about just building a makeshift bed on the...
