Formaldehyde Treated Flooring

Hi Mamas, My husband and I just purchased bamboo flooring for our home and it is treated with formaldehyde. Do any of you know if it is safe to be around while pregnant? I am 15 1/2 weeks along with my first. I need to know if I should move in with my mom for a few days while the floor airs out or not worry. Thanks so much for your advice! J.

Shopping for New Carpet - Help!

We want to recarpet our living room - (not ready for the whole house yet), and I am need to find a good, reasonably priced carpet store in the area. We went to Lowe's to get some color samples, and we'd be looking at over $700 just to carpet one room through them! that seems ridiculous to me. So, first question - what is a "normal" cost (carpet+pad+install) for a room approx. 20x12? and 2nd question - where have you had good experiences? (we live in Cuyahoga Falls)

Laminate/Hard Wood Flooring Question

We purchased our home a little over a year ago. It was a speck home so we couldn't make any changes. Well, we are wanting to take up the carpet in the family room and the formal living/dining area (530sq ft area)and add either high end laminate or hardwood. what are some of your likes and dislikes about your flooring? Any advice on what to watch out for, etc....any regrets over the decision you made? We are just starting the research process. At Home Depot laminate was said to be better from a durability stand point and that Hard Wood...
