Looking for Elementary School Program Ideas

hi, i am researching program ideas for my kid's elementary school, either for an after school weekly thing or for a one-time school asembly sort of thing. Definitely interested in something that is entertaining but with a message (i.e., nutrition, science, math, safety, history, etc). And of course very budget conscious. If anyone has had a program that they considered outstanding, i'd love to hear about it! Also any tips on keeping costs low given today's reality. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Our school district offers an in between class for children who have been to preschool but are not quite ready for Kindergarten. 2Nd Grade Workbooks

Hi Ladies, My son is now in first grade and last week tested into the gifted and talented program for next year. His counselor suggest getting him some 2nd grade workbooks for the summer. (which starts the middle of May) I did this last year but I didn't really like the workbooks I got. I live in a small town so everything has to be ordered online. Daughter Skipping 3Rd Grade

We moved from a suburban area of PA to a very rural area of MT last year. My daughter is just finishing 2nd grade and her teacher is recommending that she skip 3rd and go right to 4th next year.
