Hi! I started feeding my almost 7 month old son solids when he was almost 6 months old. I waited until the signs were there; sitting up, good head and neck control, interested in what we're eating, making chewing motions with his mouth. I started him on rice cereal mixed with breastmilk, and he did great at first. He even opened wide and seemed to like it. Allergic to Dairy

My one year old is allergic to dairy. This was easy when he was on formula and baby food because I didn't really worry about. Now I am feeding him Rice Milk but I am having a hard time with snacks and table food. Most of what I make for my family has milk or cheese or some other dairy product in it. He will not eat any fruit. So that is out as far as snacks go. Also, the doctor said to go with the rice milk but why not soy? Does soy milk contain dairy or what is the issue with that? Help! I really want to be able to start feeding my 8-month-old son homemade food, but he won't eat anything I make. I admit, I never should've started him out on jarred foods in the first place because now it's what he's used to. Does Anyone Use Earth's Best Organic Formula?

I just saw a news report today that stated "Rocket Fuel" has been found in infant formula. In the study, they said they can not identify which brands were tested...it's the same story when they found melamine in some of the brands! So, I was thinking about switching to Earth's Best Organic Formula because I already use the organic rice for my 6mth old. So, do you or do you know anyone who uses organic formula? Did it have any different side effects? Any advice would be appreciated...breastfeeding is no longer an option.

Toddler Won't Eat Vegetables

My two year old son hardly ever eats vegetables. Sometimes we can successfully hide veggies in food - spinach is easy to hide, sometimes mashing carrots work. I would like to know what other moms with this problem have done successfully. He loves meat, fruit, rice, and potatoes. He drinks plenty of milk and water and one cup of juice a day. Any ideas or simple recipes would be great! We just bought a juicer and are planning to mix veggies in with the fruit juices.
