Almost 9 Month Old with Severe Constipation

Hi, My soon to be 9 month old is severely constipated. This has been going on for about the past month. After no BMs for 5 days, I awoke to him screaming (in pain) this morning. He was pooping. He produced a moderate-large amount of very hard, ball like feces. (Sorry for all of the information). There also was blood....that I assume was caused by fissures. He is breast-fed. I have made a point to give him higher fiber foods. He gets at least two jars of pears or prunes each day. Also I have omitted all bananas. I have...

My 13 Month Old Is Picky, picky...picky!

My 13 month old little guy is ALL boy, except for his eating habits. Ever since he's realized he can eat what mommy is eating (to a point), that is all he wants. But then when I sit him down in his high chair, he sometimes puts the food in his mouth, then spits it out. He will drink his bottles like they are going out of style as many times as he can during the day and will throw tiny fits unless he doesn't have his bottle (whole milk of course), or get whiney until we give them to him. He will eat some foods (cheerios, pastas of every...

My Baby Just Started Solids and She's So Constipated!

My daughter is 4 months and 3 weeks. I just started giving her a little bit of rice cereal and baby food. She became so constipated! The pediatrician said to switch to oatmeal and pears, peaches and peas, but that didn't work either! The only way she poops is with a suppository! Also, she won't drink pear juice because she doesn't drink from a bottle! Any suggestions?

Help Needed for 14Month Old Still Drinking a Bottle and Eating Baby Food

My son is 14 months old and does seem to have a few developmental delays. He has just started crawling, has no words-just babbling, and the most frustrating thing is that he sill will not take a sippy cup and will not eat anything other than stage 2 baby food. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to help him take a cup? I do know that he has a bad gag reflex so that has a lot to do with the food I assume.

Switching from Bottle to Sippy Cup with a Baby Who Still Spits Up

My 11-month-old still spits up. With the bottle, it is much less frequent than it used to be; however, it fairly prevalent as we've been trying to introduce a Sippy Cup. I'm just wondering if other moms have gone through this, and what strategies you used to minimize the spit up during this transition. We are using the NUBY soft nipple Sippy Cup, with two handles. My husband and I were hoping that as our daughter approaches her first birthday, spit up would be a thing of the past. No such luck yet!
