Infant with Reflux

I have a almost 5 month old baby boy with reflux. He was born 13 weeks early. The doctor has him on previcid and it has not seemed to work. We have him on the Similic Advance formula. He does ok the first half of his feed, then the rest of his feed he will fight eating. Sometimes after he burps it gets better. He spits up after almost every feed. He is gaining weight. Does Neocate Cause Gas?

My son is 9 weeks old. He has been on Neocate for about 1 1/2 months now. He has acid reflux so the GI doctor put him on Neocate. He does really well on the formula but has TERRIBLE gas. He screams in pain after eating. I'm not sure if its colic or if the Neocate might be causing the gas. We are debating on switching him to Nutramigen because of the cost of the Neocate and our insurance company won't cover it. Has anyone else experienced gas problems with Neocate?

Has Anyone Used Infant Neocate Formula?

Diarrhea in Breastfed Infant

When my son was 2 weeks old, he began having diarrhea. It went on for a week before my pediatrician finally sent us to a GI specialist who felt it was a protein allergy causing the problem. We switched him to Neocate formula for 2 weeks and I eliminated all dairy, soy and eggs from my diet (I'm also a vegetarian and drink only water and rice milk - no juice).
