Diaper Changing Struggle with 11 Month Old!

Hi, I wonder if anyone has ideas or suggestions to help me keep my 11 month old daughter still while I change her diaper! She is always trying to get away when I am trying to change her diaper. Not so bad if it is not poopy, but can be a big problem if is is! She has also started to reach down to grab herself while I am trying to clean her. I do try to have interesting toys or objects handy to give her, but most of the time it doesn't distract her long enough. I do not use a changing table, but I have an area on a twin bed that is in...

Temper on the Changing Table

It sounds like a title to a new movie, doesn't it? Its all too real though, LOL. Anyway I was hoping for some advice for my soon to be 8 month old son, who couldn't be a more pleasant baby to be around except when on the changing table! This has been going on for about a week. I try giving a toy but he seems to be too upset to care. His mission, which he usually achieves, is to roll over on his stomach while I try to either just change a diaper or his clothes. 10 Hour Car Ride with 20 Month Old Toddler

Does anyone have any suggestions for making a 10 hour trip more enjoyable (tolerable) for a 20 month old little boy? We just ordered a travel tray thing to help out and we have a car dvd player that we haven't used yet and think that should help somewhat, but we haven't gone on a trip this long with our son since last summer and now that he's way more mobile and active, I worry that he's not going to do well that long in the car. When I say 10 hours, that is just what mapquest says, so I know it'll be longer with potty breaks for us and...

How to Survive a 13 Hour Plane Trip with a 17 Month Old??

My husband and I are flying from West coast US to Australia next month with our 17 month old son. His favorite word is down and he is NOT a cuddler!!! I am starting to collect a few ideas on how to get through this flight (plus the 2 3-hour flights on either side of it). My pediatricians only advice was to not do it... this is not an option!! We will be there for 3 weeks and then have the same flight pattern home. Has anyone been in the same spot? What about using benadryl or something to help him sleep? (mind you, I am NOT a fan of...
