Severe Diaper Rash

Moms - I need your help! My son cannot wear Pampers pull-ups and when he does he breaks out into severe diaper rash and it looks awful! I have told his teachers, management, and director at his daycare that under no circumstance should my son ever wear a Pampers pull-ups. He also cannot use Desitin or AD. I use Dr. Smiths and Aquaphor. Usually when he breaks out I smear the Dr. Smiths and Aquaphor and I start him immediately on a BRAT diet. I'm unable to get him to the Dr. tomorrow, but plan on taking him on Monday. I feel so bad for...

What Should I Do for Diaper Rash?

I think my 2 month old son has some diaper rash on the inside of his thighs and his lower stomach above his diaper. I have never seen or felt diaper rash so I'm not sure if that is what it is. The skin is bumpy and feels leathery. I have applied some A+D Ointment on it but I'm not seeing a difference. Do any other moms have any suggestions of anything else I should be applying? Does Desitin work better? Thanks, D.

Cloth Diapers & Powder?

Hello Moms~ My first daughter is 6 weeks old and has diaper rash. We own a bunch of cloth diapers and have already tried them out and like them. However she has had a diaper rash and we can't use the cream (desitin) with them; we have been using disposables for weeks now. Today we got a Rx from her pediatrician, and hope to see the rash gone within a week. Once the rash is cleared and we are no longer using cream we'd like to use the cloth diapers full time; what can we use to help prevent diaper rash? I have heard Baby Powder is a good...

Best Diaper Rash Cream and Baby Wipes?

My 17 mo. old developed a diaper rash yesterday. He rarely gets a rash, but when he does, they're bad. He usually onlt gets a rash if he has diarrhea, which he doesn't have now. His bottom is red, and there are spots that are starting to get raw, but no bumps. He screams in pain every time I change his diaper. I bought some wipes for sensitive skin, but they don't seem to be any different than the regular wipes. I tried Beudreaux's Butt Paste yesterday and it seemed to make it worse (he couldn't even sit down). I used A&D ointment...
