4 Year Old Refusing Preschool

My 4 year old is suddenly refusing to go to her preschool. My question is: should I make my daugther go? Background: this is her first time at preschool, because of her birthdate she will have to go to preschool again this fall instead of entering Kindergarten. I don't want to turn her off from school. I've tried encouraging her on many levels to get her excited about going. She is too smart to be persuaded, with witty come-back to refute my remarks. I've driven to the school and got her inside but she wouldn't go in the room and ran...

3 Year Old Behavior...

Hello there...I am looking for new tricks to have up my sleeve when dealing with my 3 year old daughter. As of late she has taken to shrieeking when put on a time out. I also have not been able to get her to say "I'm sorry for _____" once she's out of her time out. She flat out refuses and walks away or says she "can't". She also has taken to talking or raising her voice over mine to repeat herself when told "no" in getting something. This she picked up from me due to my using it when she started repeating herself so say "noooooo" over her....

Relief for Growing Pains

Hello Mamas, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on growing pains. My 4 year old is waking up frequently in the night from leg pains. I had these terribly even throughout college so I know they hurt and may be genetic? I have been just rubbing her legs to make it feel a little bit better but if anyone has any tips that would be great! Thanks!

Unruly 3 Year Old

I wrote a couple of weeks ago and i really need some advise. My 3 year old girl is completely out of control. She does not listen to anyone, she is horribly bratty, and has no regard for anyone else. When we are with other children, she will rip toys away from them, push them, and is ALWAYS the boss. But, she is the first to cry when someone else does something to her that she doesn't like. She has started talking baby talk all the time. It's not an attention thing, because I give her attention 24/7 and try very hard to be patient. ...

Help with a Child with a Possible Learning Disability

Since my six year old son has been able to talk, he has always had difficulty in pronouncing certain letters and words. At the age of 3 my husband and I decided to take him to a speech therapist. The results were that his speech was normal for his age. Now he is 6, at times, his speech is still difficult to understand. He stutters when he gets excited and he is stil having difficulty grasping phonics and reading. My husband has dyslexia and I asked my pediatrican about that and his speech. The doctor sought the advice of his teacher who...

Homeschooling a 3 Year Old

Any advice on starting a cuuriculum for my 3 year old. I'm a SAHM and our budget is slim, right now I can't afford to get him into half day preschool. The least expensive I've found is $95 a week. So I've been seriously thinking of homeschooling him. What advice, websites and curriculum can be beneficial and easy to teach. Thanks moms

Sunday School for a 3 Year Old

Hello - I am thinking about starting to go to church with my daughter. I have no experience with church and a child. At her age, will she actually be in a Sunday school with structured activity, stories, etc or will it be more of a nursery/playtime thing? I am sure each church is different, but can you tell me what your 3 year old does in church? Thanks much!
