Graco Infant Car Seat - Material Is SO Hot?

My husband and I received a Graco car seat and stroller as a Christmas gift for our son who was born in March. We love the style and color but we had no idea we would have issues with the material on the carseat. When my three month old baby is sitting in it, he gets so hot. I read on other website that others who have this same carseat are experiencing the same thing. I'm guessing the material doesn't breathe and the hot Texas weather doesn't help matters. I'm not sure what to do - I know it's too late to make an exchange at the store...

Graco Comfortsport Convertbile Carseat

Hi, My 17 month is finally at 20 pounds. She's 30 inches long. We need to get her a new carseat. We have a Graco Infant Seat and it worked fine for us. I'm looking currently at getting another Graco Carseat. I want her to stay rear-facing so the ComfortSport is the only option. After looking at all the different features. I think we'd like the DRIFTWOOD model. Anybody had this particular one or any of the Graco convertible carseats? I'm looking for both positive and negative reviews. Thanks

Convertable Carseat in Small Car

We are going to need to purchase a new car seat very soon. We have a 4-door Honda Civic. It's a small car and we are worried that a convertable car seat is going to be too big. Do you have any recommendations of a smaller-sized convertable seat that you think will work for us?

Switching to a Front Facing Car Seat.

I am currently using the rear facing infant carrier, however, my son is now 6 months old and is at the height requirment to switch seats. He is still 1 lbs below the weight limit for the front facing (22lbs), and I am wondering if it is even safe to switch him yet? He still seems so young to be front facing but he can sit up on his own and when he is in his carrier he just pulls himself into a sitting position and gets angry when you have to latch him down. Plus it sure would be nice to not have to lug around the extra weight of the...

Infant Car Seat or Infant Carrier ??

I am debating on whether to get an infant car seat/stroller combo or an infant carrier and a convertible car seat. If you think the infant carrier option would be better, let me know which one you think is good. I just want to save money and optimize my purchases.

Rear Facing Seats???

Hey Mamas, Recenlty I heard that studies have shown babies "should" be rear facing until 2 years of age to help minimize injuries to head and neck should an accident occur. I must admit, I was bummed when this recommendation came out as our daughter is 9 days from turning one. That being said, I started to wonder if the Britax that I bought (2 of them actually) back in November of 2010 was ever intended to be rear facing for a child over age one (and within weight requirements). Your thoughts? I know these are 'recommendations' but I...

Infant Car Seat vs Convertible Car Seat

I had an infant car seat given to us when my DS was born. Now that my baby's coming in 3 weeks, I've been looking at new car seats. I loved having the infant car seat so I could take my DS inside while he was still sleeping, especially when visiting family or going out to eat. But I also like the convertible car seats b/c they last much longer than the first year, so I've been considering getting one instead of the infant carrier. I'm leaning towards the infant car seat, but I keep going back and forth every time I go look at the car...
