Breastfeeding Issues with 3 Wk Old

Hello!! does anyone out there have any advice for a new mom with a three wk old who is mostly bottle feeding now and wont latch onto the breast without fussiness, which discourages me, so I stop and bottle feed her. She has now used pacifiers and bottles. I've been told I have a flat nipple issue, which is why she cant feel my nipple in her mouth. My question is, is it too late to try breastfeeding?? Has anyone out there had any success at this point and gotten their baby to breastfeed?? I've been using a breast pump and supplementing...

Dr. Browns Vs. Platex Drop Ins -- Bottle Advice?

First time mom debating on whether to use Dr. Browns bottles or the Platex drop ins. I have heard that the Dr. Browns are good for colic babies but are a pain to clean and have lots of pieces. Some friends have suggested using the Platex Drops ins - even though it requires to buy liners - it is easier to clean and less of a hassle. Any thoughts?

My son will be 4 months old at the end of this month. I (with the help of my husband, friends, and mothers) have been trying to get him to accept a bottle, but to no avail. I know it is the most difficult for the breast-feeding mother to get an infant to take a bottle, but I am around the most so more often than not I am the one attempting the mission. He has been breastfed exclusively since he was born, so the milk is pumped with a manual Medula. We have tried the Medula bottles as well as Nuk, Dr. Browns and Playtex vent-aire. Out of...

Breastfeeding and Bottles

Hello Everyone! For various reasons I have decided to try to get my 6 month old to take a bottle. The only time he has ever really taken a bottle was when he was about a month old. I haven't tried giving him one since then and now he flat out refuses it, even if it is my breast milk. Anyway, I am looking for a bottle that will be a good transition for a breastfeeding baby. I've already tried Dr. Browns and Avent, but he doesn't like either one. I go to the store and look, but it is so overwhelming with all the choices out there. Can anyone...
