Advise for 7 Year Old B-day Party!!

I am having my daughters B-day party at the house this year. We've always done them at places so this is the first time at the house! I thought we would set up "stations" in the back yard and have some girls decorating flip-flops.Some would be getting make-overs in one station (with my older daughters help),and then do a pinata, pin the crown on the princess, then pizza/cake and ice cream. I'm wondering if that is not enough? Or too much? Would the girls have fun being split up and doing different things at different times? Would they...

Home Party Ideas

Hello Mamas - My baby girl is turning 6 in July and has asked to have her party at home. Which is fine, except that I don't know what to do with a group of 10 6 year olds for 2 hours. My princess wants to set up our slip and slide (which isn't really a slip and slide it's a tarp that their daddy truned into one) and just play in the yard. But I'm scared that won't keep them happy enough. We have a kids sprinkler that I could also turn on. But would it be OK to just have these kids come over to play in our couple of water toys, eat cake...

Need Ideas for Party Favors

My son is turning 3 in a few weeks (!!!) and we're having his birthday party at the swimming pool with all his little friends. We want to have little gifts for his friends but I don't want to do goody bags like we've done in the past, it seems like no one really plays with the stuff we put in there. I'd love to come up with some cute idea for favors that is simple and doesn't cost too much. His party is monster themed. I was originally thinking squirt guns and water toys but the pool doesn't allow those. Any of you creative mamas out...

Baby Shower Ideas

My co-worker is throwing a baby shower to our colleague this Saturday. Some attendees will be bringing their kids to the party. I just need some inexpensive ideas to entertain the kids. The party will be outdoors and I don’t mind being the one “taking care” of the kids, if I just know what to do. I am not sure if a craft will keep them busy. Do I need to play games with them? Do we need to include them in the shower games? Let me know what you think... Thanks

Transitioning Out of Baby Bath Tub

My question today is about transitioning out of the infant bath tub. Does anyone have any suggestions? She hasn't fully outgrown the tub, but she will be very soon. My husband has back problems, so he doesn't really want to move her into the big bathtub as he will have to miss out on bathtime, but we can't think of much more. We have talked about the sink, but she freaks out when she sits in there. Do they still make the bath rings for babies? Any other ideas on how to deal with transitioning so that daddy can still help? Thank you...

How to Bath 14 Month Old in Big Tub?

So my 14 month old dd has been in a bath seat for baths since she was 7 months old. I am afraid to bath her without it because she will try to stand up in the bath tub and slip all over the place. Do you have any suggestions on how to bath her without her slipping?? How do you bath your toddler?
