Tandem Stroller Really Necessary for Infant and Two Year Old?

Hi mamas, We're expecting our second in December and currently have a toddler. By the time #2 arrives, our son will be 2. My husband doesn't think we need to get a tandem stroller - that our older child will be able to walk with us when we go out or we could make do with a baby carrier (we have an old Ergo). What do you think? If you think a tandem stroller is a good idea, can you recommend one that you like that won't break the bank? Thanks!

Baby Shower for #2?

My MIL has indicated that she would like to throw a baby shower for me for our daughter due in August. This is our second girl and I kept almost everything from the first time around. So what are second baby essentials that I should register for? What gear is really nice to have when you are trying to manage two? Note: my eldest daughter will be 27 months when her sister is born.

Feedback About the Ergo Infant Carrier

I'm curious if anyone has used the Ergo Infant Carrier and what you thought of it. My son is almost 6 months old and, of course, loves to be carried all the time. But I've had a brace on my wrist for a month and it's hard to hold him too long without a carrier. He hates the sling and he's way too heavy in the bjorn now. It's killing my back. The Ergo looks like a great product but it's very expensive so I was hoping for some reviews from others who've used it. Any thoughts on infant carriers for 6 - 12 month olds?
