Any Businesses Doing Car Seat Installation or Babyproofing in the SA Area?

I'm looking for someone to install my Graco car seat. I know, it should be simple, but we just can't get it latched. We did use this before for my first child two years ago, but neither base is fitting in my Honda Odyssey. I checked seatcheck.org but no one is listed for the San Antonio area. Also, anyone have trouble installing the Graco snugride--maybe we should simply go with another brand. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Safety Gates Advice

My 10 month old has become very mobile and I have just begun babyproofing our house. We have a very steep wood staircase - any suggestions on which safety gate to buy. I heard hardware mounted gates are best for the top of the stairs but my husband doesn't want to drill into our staircase if we can avoid it. I am worried to use the pressure mounted ones as I am scared he could push down the gate and fall. I am probably being too paranoid. Any suggestions or advice would be great.

Graco Snugride vs Graco Snugride 32

My baby is 10 mons and is outgrowing his Graco Snugride because of his height. I am referring to the "regular" Snugride that has limits of 29 in and 22 lb. I'm considering getting a used Snugride 32 just so I can have the convenience of the bucket for a few more months. Does anyone know if the "regular" Snugride travel system will accommodate the Snugride 32? (I know, I know. I should have tried it out at the store.) okay, yes, I do plan to buy a convertible after he turns a year. I just want to keep him in the bucket for two more months...

Best Baby-Gate for Top of Stairs

Hi, I am in the midst of baby-proofing, and I am hoping for some advice about the gate for the top of the stairs. We would like one that would be easy to open and shut, and be sturdy at the same time. We have a safety 1st one for his room doorway, but it doesn't seem like it is so easy to open and shut, and for the stairs, with lots of traffic, we want one that opens and shuts easily. Thanks!
