17 Year Old Who Quit School

I have a 17 year old son and I also have a 15 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. Last month my 17 year decided he no longer wants to go to school--"and I can't make him go". He does not work, but says he is looking for a job. He sleeps till around 11 every day doesn't do anything around the house and makes sure he is gone before I get home from work. Basically he sleeps here, takes a shower and communicates with his friends. He stays out all weekend and rarely tells me where he is. I want to send him to his dad's--he says he...

I Need Clever Baby Shower Games.

I do special events and I ave been asked to suggest games for a "Baby Shower", but it is for a Uncle adopting his 16 year old nephew! So a little different. I have come up with a funny relay. We are thinking of a "Pin a tshirt on the Teen.". But I would like 1 or 2 more ideas. It can be a game or something people have to write down. This is a really fun family. They love games and getting together. And yes, this teen is excited aboutt his gathering.. He is a great kid. We are doing a cookout with lemonade for drinks. For...

My daughter has always been an exceptionally bright girl. She was in high performance classes at school and would panic if she was getting anything lower than an 'A'. During the winter she was absent from school a lot with migraines (she has always had migraines) and of course I can't prove she has one (no temp etc). Now her grades have gone downhill, she has a boyfriend and all she wants to do is go to his place (he's 18). She works off and on and when she works the 4 to 11 pm shift she can't get up for school the next day. I've asked...

Baby Shower for a Minor

I have a request to do a baby shower for a 14 year old. I'm not to quick on this idea I don't want to come off as the mother that I am, but what does a 14 year old need with a baby shower. This is a happy occasion as well as I don't want to glorify the situation, so I'm not sure how I should feel about giving a baby shower for a 14 year old. I'm a mother of a 13 year old and that hits close to home to me, at this point i'm confused as to business values and my motherly advice values to the client (the mother of the 14 yr old) which is a...
