Allergic to Enfamil?

My 3 month old has had feeding issues since he was a month old. He gets a stomach ache/cramps/gas and has bad reflux and nothing helped. Suspected milk allergy, switched to Enfamil Nutramigen but didn't seem to get much better. Tried Similac Alimentum and saw a huge improvement after a week. But if we give him the Enfamil, all his symptoms come back. Belly ache, cramping, gas, reflux gets worse and he chokes/aspirates and spits up all day. He is super fussy and cranky. He fights sleep during the day and wakes up more through the night. He...

Similac Alimentum Vs. Enfamil Nutramigen

Hi moms! I'm back again. My sweet boy is 12 weeks old and while this is NOT what I want to do, I'm beginning to feel its in my babe's best chance at happiness:-) I've given up just about every major food allergy/sensitivity in my diet and still no happy baby with breastfeeding. He has both reflux and colic and I'm at the end of the rope I believe. So based on some basic research the 2 formulas most recommended are the Similac Alimentum & Enfamil Nutramigen. Any suggestions or experience with either of these? Thank you so much!!

Son May Be Allergic to Enfamil?

My husband and I have been given enfamil soy and found that at almost every feeding he is throwing up the entire thing again. We believe the hospital miss informed us what kind of formula he was getting there. Because the kind he was eating at the hospital was Similac Advanced not soy like they said it was. See even at the hospital he was given enfamil and threw that up too so they gave us the Similac. Now when I go to WIC they tell me I can't get it because they don't give it out. The only time they do special things like that is if it's...

Enfamil Vs. Similac

I was wondering how important it is to keep your baby on the same formula or is it ok to switch. When my baby was born she wasn't able to nurse and my milk hadn't come in, so we supplemented her with Enfamil. Now I am able to provide her expressed breastmilk, but I know it won't last. So here I sit with many, many samples of Enfamil and Similac formula. I hate to give one brand away because it is so expensive so I was wondering if and when the time comes to give her formula, can I just use both?

Allergic to Formula?

I have been pumping and feeding my 5 month old breast milk up until now, but my milk supply is dwindling, and I am ready to put her on formula. We tried Similac formula and she just threw it up every time. I have been adding 2 ounces Parent's Choice milk based formula into her bottle for about 5 days now and her nose is extremely stuffy and she coughs up mucuous. I am thinking that she is allergic to the milk, but what formula could I give to her? Or will she just get over it and get used to the formula? (She was premature and never...

Allergies

My 16 week old baby has had bad eczema for about 7 or 8 weeks and I cannot keep it under control. I have tried many different ointments (aquafour, aveeno, vaseline, hydrocortisone, etc) per the advice of my doctors and modified my diet and started to take a probiotic since I am breastfeeding. Nothing seems to help although some days are better than others. I am very suspicious that he has food allergies because some days his skin will look great and then during his feeding, it will start to become red and bumpy. Peanuts definitely make...

Milk Allergy in Toddler

Hi! My 21 month old son was diagnosed with milk protein allergy when he was an infant. Eliminating dairy from his diet (and mine - I breastfed until he was 16 months old) has been challenging, but now he is getting a little more independent it is getting even harder to control what he eats! I am a nervous wreck every time we go to play group, on play dates or when I leave him at nursery (at the gym). I always let everyone know that he had food allergies and I am trying to teach him to eat his snacks only but invariably he ends up getting...

Question Regarding Enfamil a R

I just started feeding my six month old Enfamil A R because she was spitting up quite frequently and I have a question whether I should still be supplementing with rice cereal being that this formula already has rice starch in the formula. Should I still be giving her rice cereal or oatmeal? I dont want her to gain unnecessary added weight due to extra cereal feedings. Any suggestions from mothers out there that feed their babies Enfamil A R? Thanks :)
