The Group of Bully's Is on the New Team.

My son (7y.o.) has had an issue with a couple of boys at school picking on him and bullying him. I have made a request to the school that next year the "ringleader" not be in the same class as him for next year. He was made out as the bad guy recently as he tried to FINALLY defend himself against the 3 other boys. It truly seems to be that the 2 other boys join in with this leading boy to pick on my son when they all get together. When I have come across the parents, it does appear that the apple does not fall far from the tree. Respect...

Washing Baseball Caps

Any suggestions on how to wash baseball caps? I've heard to use the dishwasher, the regular washing machine, hand-wash only. Please share with me what has or has not worked for you. Thanks!

Pros and Cons of Cub Scouts

My son has a flyer for cub scouts and I am thinking of signing him up. I plan to be with him, so the whole child molester thing is not the con I am looking for here (someone on my Facebook wrote this, so I am bringing it up). I want to know the average cost (i called, but they said to just show up and will go over the annual dues with me). The meetings are once a month, yet I am assuming there will be more get togethers. I was trying to explain to my son what is was, but I know I was very general and may have gotten him excited for things...

Boys Who Are Not into Sports

I have two boys 7 and 9 and they are awesome kids in most respects. we just moved to a new city and they started new schools. at this new school sports for boys is a big deal. my kids just have never been and even now are really not into any kind of group sports. to be honest my husband and never grew up in texas and never did organized sports growing up so we are not the best role models for sports! we have tried soccer and basketball etc since K but it never went very far. my older son is very uncoordinated and it was obvious that he was...

Gymnastics Fashion Question

so i signed my 4 year-old daughter up next week for gymnastics. I want her to feel she belongs so i wanted to get her a leotard for her first day. Do people wear the simple ballet leotards to gymnastics? I find the gymnastics leotards so garish. Will she be an odd ball if i just buy her a more tasteful dance leotard? Since you don't wear tights in gymnastics, will the dance leotards be modest and appropriate? I notice a lot of the gymnastic wear sold on-line is more of a mid thigh unitard. Any insights would be appreciated.

Summer Program for 4 and 6 Year Old

I am looking for a summer program for my two kids. They turn 4 and 6 (currently in Kindergarten) in May. I can find stuff for the 4 year old but I'm having trouble finding something for the 6 year old. I only work part-time so I don't want to put them in a full day daycare. My almost 6 year old is a shy girl that wouldn't enjoy a lot of the typical summer camps for older elementary kids.

Son Hates Swimming Lessons

My son started swimming lessons this past Monday. He is four years old, and has never taken them before. He was so excited the first day, but it did not go well. He didn't like getting his face wet at all, and quit about halfway through. We have been to two more lessons, and things have not improved. My husband and I have tried encouragement, bribes, threats, and even going out of sight so maybe he would do better. He just sits on the steps and cries. The teachers are very understanding, but they don't know what to do either. Any...

Super Walmart or Super Target??

We have had a Super walmart in my area for awhile. I am not a rock solid fan of the mega store. But it has come in handy when I cant afford to hit up our Fred meyer/Kroger store. The target in our mall is getting renovated into a Super target. I am curious If you have shopped at both which one do you like better?? How is the produce at the Target?? Was the selection a good comparison to that or the Super Walmarts?? I am excited to get to try it out..just wanted to see some thoughts either way.
