When Do They Give up Their Lovies??

I was going to ask this question today even before i read the My Little Pony back pack post. My Ds went to a sleep over last month with his lovey bear, like a small blanket with a teddy bear head, the carters one. I assume no one said anything. He has had hisbirthday and is now 8, and askedfor and recieved from grandma one of those Stuffed aninals that act lilke they are alive --a little tiger with a bottle. I don't know if i just am noticing how much the other kids his age aren't into baby things,or if i just expected that by now...

Baby Eczema - PLEASE HELP

My four month old daughter developed eczema about one month ago. I took her to the peds and she diagnosed her with milk protein sensitivity. Ped recommended switch to hypoallergenic formula (Enfamil Nutramigen). She's been on new formula for almost two weeks (will be two weeks on Friday). It is a little better MOST days, but yesterday her skin looked terrible again. I am so discouraged and frustrated (not to mention worried). Has anyone else had this experience? How long does it take for the milk protein to leave her body? I am thinking she...

Has Anyone Found Toddler Pajamas That Are Actually Comfy?

I am seriously irritated at how tight they make toddler pajama tops. Carters, Baby Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, all of them. My 19 month-old little guy can't stand it, tosses and turns and yanks and fusses at how constricting the tops are. (It would drive me nuts if I had to wear something that tight too.) I even tried buying them in bigger sizes, and they are still tight, just longer and tight. I've had to stop using the pj tops altogether, and instead, dress him in long sleeve t-shirts to wear with the pajama bottoms. My little guy...

Sunscreen/summer Tips for My Little One

our weather here has been pretty screwey lately.. we really didn't have a "spring".. it basically went from freezing to summer.. its 80degrees today. first day since last summer that my 8month old has been out in hot weather. She was born the end of july so she was only outside for a little while at a time and it was always in the garage, never out in the sunlight, so this whole sunscreen thing is new to me. I am pretty pale, however I tan.. my fiancé on the other hand is pale and basically turns into a lobster after being in the sun...

I Hate "Boy Stuff" - Bad Mom?

Ask anyone - I am the froofiest, girly-est, pinkest GIRL you could ever imagine. So for me to have a BOY shocked everyone! I've been pretty good about it, but it's been wearing on me since Christmas with the addition of all of the "big boy toys". So here's my CONFESSION: I don't know how to play with trucks. I don't like to play trains. I hate to put Geo-Trax together. I'm tired of watching Thomas. I want to watch Cinderella and paint fingernails. I want to buy dresses and glittery shoes. I want to shop in the girls department...

What's the Deal with Preschool Teachers Not Being Allowed to Apply Sunscreen?

My almost 4 year old's preschool teachers just sent home a note telling us to make sure to slather our kids with sunscreen in the morning when we drop them off because teachers are not legally allowed to put sunscreen on students. When I asked, I was told that the same policy applies for camp this Summer. Does anybody know if this is a 'touching' issue or an 'administration of medication' issue and if there is any way around it (like a permission form to fill out)? My son has pretty pale skin and I'm getting nervous about him getting...
