I hold a Bachelors Degree in Child Development from CSU Chico, am Montessori trained and CPR/First Aid certified. I started caring for children from a young age and have worked in many childcare centers. I follow Dr. Maria Montessori's principles and philosophy on education by helping the child to develop self-discipline and independence through daily lessons and guidance. I believe that children learn by doing. A child's play is a way of learning how to adapt and make sense of their environment and the world around them. Children should have the opportunity to experience many different sensory activities on a daily basis. Here, this will be achieved through activities such as, but not limited to: coloring with scented crayons and markers, finger-painting, playdough, water play, and food preparation, field trips, nature walks, and visits to nearby parks.

**Please call if you would like to set up an interview and/or visit.**

I am licensed for 6-8 children, however, I keep my ratio at 4:1. I prefer to keep our group small so that I may provide the individual attention the children deserve.

Julia's daycare is great! From the first day I took my son there, I knew he would be in good hands. Julia provides a warm and caring environment for my son and I couldn't be any happier that he is there. I would highly recommend her!

Julia bonded with our little girl, Ella, almost immediately. She provided a clean, warm, safe environment for her. Ella was only 1 when Julia started caring for her. We noticed obvious signs of educational development once she was in Julia's care. We had taken Ella out of a traditional daycare setting because was continuously catching different viruses & we did not feel she was getting the proper care & attention that she needed. We noticed a big difference once we switched to Julia. Ella appeared much happier, more content and healthier. I would definitely recommend Julia's superior services.

Julia has been watching our son since he was 7 months and is now turning 2. She offers a comfortable and fun environment for the kids and works with each child's specific needs. She is great with our crazy hectic schedule and is always pleasant. Our son enjoys playing with the other kids that have been with him.

Julia's daycare is great! My son went there from about 4 months old, until 7 months - but that is only because we moved to another state. Julia was attentive and caring to our son. She was also a good communicator, listening to our requests and letting us know what he was doing every day. I cried when I had to move him from there!

I have been so pleased with Julia's home day care over the past two years and would highly recommend her services to any parent. Julia has provided excellent care for my daughter by always being attentive to my daugthers' needs and by providing a safe, fun, and personable environment for her to learn and develop new skills. In addition, Julia's daily schedule exposes the kids to other peers as well as provides a consistent routine that helps the kids feel safe and confident.

My son was with Julia from the time that he was 5 1/2 months old until he was almost 3. When he was little and breastfeeding, Julia worked with me and my schedule (she even persuaded a stubborn baby like him to drink from a bottle during the times I could not feed him). As he got older, he was always very happy to go to daycare, I couldn't ask for more! I also always felt that he was in a loving environment, and never had to worry for his safety.

Julia looked after my little girl part-time for about 6 months (we moved out of state). Little Dominick is the sweetest and was a great playmate. The kids were always getting fresh air and having fun. A good environment for toddlers!
