Our studio is a unique yet classy 2500 square foot studio with 12 poles . We have a very girly boutique that sells work out clothing, hula hoops and poles along with some other items made by local artists.

WHO IS ICANDY POLE DANCE STUDIO?
iCandy Pole Dance Studio is the idea of a group of women, one is a grandmother who also happens to be a Coroner Investigator in Marin County. She is the main owner along with her daughter and four other "soccer moms" (they have a total of 11 children under the age of 11).

HOW IT BEGAN
We went to a "girls night out" at an out of the area studio and became pole dance enthusiasts. It was so much fun and we noticed rather quickly what an excellent workout it was and that it was fun - and so it began.

I have been dancing for some time and wanted to try pole dancing lessons for fun and fitness, and also to spice up my relationship with my fiancee. At first the classes were really fun, but I soon found that they were also extremely limiting. The classes do not allow you to move at your pace, and teach you to practice the same moves for 18 weeks before they move you up to the next level and allow you to do simple things like climb the pole which is a beginner move. I dropped out of classes and bought some instructional dvds and a pole instead and was doing knee hang switches with no hands in a matter of weeks. The advanced pole instructors can't even do this move which is just sad as I myself am a beginner. They started offering open practice time for $20 an hour on Fridays and thought I might try utilizing their facilities to get a good practice in, but found that they would still not let me climb the poles let alone do inverts. What kind of a pole dancing studio is this!?!?! I think they are afraid of letting people see what they could be teaching but don't know how to teach, and that's why they don't allow it. Don't waste your time here. The instructors can't do half the moves you wish you could learn and even if they could you won't be allowed to try them anyways. That being said this place is still probably fine for people wanting to do a one time bachelorette party get-together or something
