Yogurt for Babies

I bought a pack of YoBaby yogurt... it says it's organic and made from whole milk - what are your thoughts on this stuff? Where else can you find whole milk yogurt for babies that's plain or unflavored? I feel like the YoBaby is pretty sweet...

What can I do next?

What about Stoneyfield (I think that's the brand) ? They make plain yogurt in the larger containers. It's organic & I think it's made with whole milk. We eat YoBaby, it's sooooo yummy & my 2 girls LOVE it! Maybe mix YoBaby & Stoneyfield plain yogurts together to make it less sweet?

Any organic yogurt - it doesnt have to say its for babies.

I asked my ped. about yogurt for babies and he said it was fine, and that it did not have to be organic or even just for babies.

Just look at the label and be careful about some of the fruit ones - they can have alot of sugar. We just add our own fruit at home.

I fed my daughter YoBaby (and now YoKids) because it was the only yogurt she could tolerate with her milk sensitivity. It's also recommended by Dr. Sears. http://www.stonyfield.com/products/yobaby-yokids/feeding-...

Oh, and Stoneyfield Farms is the maker of YoBaby, YoToddler, and YoKids.

I mix baby fruit and Fage Total Full fat yogurt. It has more protein and my son loves it.

I just buy the big containers of plain whole milk yogurt. WAY cheaper, and we add little chunks of fruit.

why don't you just by plain, organic, whole milk yogurt? babies don't need special baby yogurt. it's just a marketing gimmick and YES, they have a lot of sugar.

I bought gerber yogurt for my son for a while then I just started buying either the big tubs of vanilla or peach. Then I expanded his taste buds and bought himdifferentflavors, blueberry, strawberry, strawberrybannana, raspberry, vanilla,or peach.

Stonyfield carried yobaby in plain for awhile, then stopped, then it came back. Not sure if it is available anymore. If not, the larger tubs should be. Just add your own fruit. Kids still love it and less sweet.

YoBaby is high in sugar. Our doctor does not recommend it. She suggests other yogurts made with whole milk.

I bought whatever whole milk yogurt was on sale for my son and added fruit myself. I thought the YoBaby was really sweet too, and it can be quite expensive, especially if yogurt is a staple in your baby's diet like it was in mine. I found several varieties of whole milk yogurt at each of the 3 groceries stores where I shop, so availability was not a problem for us.

Yo Baby is really high in sugar. We buy Trader Joe's brand and it's much lower in sugar. There is no reason you can't feed regular yogurt that has much lower sugar and still tastes good. There is nothing different as far as I can tell except serving size and the higher sugar. I never bought it and just get regular yogurt.
I think it's just a marketing gimic personally.
