Most "work from home" jobs are a scam, or at the very least involve HEAVY sales quotas which are difficult to meet.
Valid telecommuting jobs are hard to come by and usually require specific skills (marketing, bookkeeping, finance, etc.) I had a SIL who telecommuted as a mortgage officer but she STILL had to hire help for her kids (clients don't want to listen to a screaming kid in the background!)
If you're husband is home in the evening you could probably make some extra money in retail, or waitressing, something like that. I had a few friends who worked at Target and Starbucks part time when money was tight.
Good luck :)

Be very careful and beware because all the recruiters for MLM and direct sales will hit you up to be on their team.

If you are into that, then great, good luck.

Think outside the box... what do you like to do and what are you good at? IF you are at a job now and you are allowed... you could freelance your talents. Example: we run out company from home. I have a mom who is a whiz at Quickbooks and she tutors people who have their own business just like me. I pay her $85 /hour to help me get everything in order, set up reports, taxes, etc.

If you do work from home, you need a good quiet place to do it. NO one wants to hear barking dogs or screaming babies in the background. You must keep it professional.

Work at home is not a piece of cake. It is WORK and you must have the self discipline to get the job done.

Keep in mind, if it was so easy to makes hundreds of extra dollars a month legally by being home, most people would be out there doing it. Be very wary of the hard sells to sign you up and you pay. Don't pay for anything. There are tons of scams out there.

Sell your used items on EBAY or Craigslist, babysit, tutor

Good luck

I'm pretty sure most of us would be working from home if it was that easy to find one that wasn't a scam or a sales job.

MLM's are tough. I'm not knocking them but.....
I own franchises on the internet. I love it. Would love to share with you if you would like some information. It's really part time and you can weave it into what you are already doing. It's designed for busy people.

If you are looking to make extra cash, I would suggestgoing to a freelance website and picking up some work in the field your currently in. Just google free lance websites. I have used elance.com

I would try a garage sale, or sell stuff on Ebay. Or sell stuff like Stella and Dot Jewelry Pampered Chef type stuff. If you have a network of friends, it wouldn;t be too hard to get started.

there are things you can do -

Go to craigslist.com and select your career field with TELECOMMUTING only...

sell unwanted items or outgrown items on craigslist and ebay..

if you have to pay for something - information, etc...it's a scam...
I've heard NOTHING good from the needlepoint, envelopes, etc.

good luck!
