I would like to discuss the possibility of VBAC with an obstetrician and found that the Women's Health Alliance in Mesquite is VBAC friendly and accepts my insurance. Can anyone recommend the best doctor to see there?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks, ladies. I called for an appointment this morning and am scheduled for a VBAC consultation with Dr. Mathews next week.
Update: After discussing our options, we decided to schedule a c-section at another practice. Our peace about our desicion was validated during my son's birth when the doctor discovered my uterine wall was very thin.

Dr. Kurian is a favorite of a former midwife who worked there. If you would consider a midwife, Cecily (I believe is her name), would be a great midwife to visit. The midwives always have a back up doctor, so you get the best of both worlds. The midwives will stay with you through most of your labor. Not like doctors who show up when the baby is crowning.
Also, Dr. Norwood and Dr. Brodsky are good. Dr. Norwood is very calm and gentle.
The reason I know all of this? I am a birth and postpartum doula!

I know nothing about that Alliance, but my OB at Vernon and Waldrep at Medical City Dallas does do VBAC if you are a candidate. Not sure if they take your insurance, but we had Blue Cross and they took that... Good Luck!

I saw Dr. Brodsky there for several years; he delivered 2 of my 3 kiddos. I loved him & recommended him to 4 of my family members - who have all since changed doctors, like me! I would recommend him still, HOWEVER last year his nurse, Cherry, retired - she was AWESOME, super sweet and caring.

The new nurse, who's name I can't remember, was the reason I will not return. She was not only rude, but almost cold when dealing with me & other patients. I won't give details, but I would not risk being their patient after a situation with a very dear friend of mine. Seriously.... I raved about Dr. Brodsky in many reviews - but I wouldn't send my pet to him now. Sorry - he used to be great, but that new nurse is not worth it. . . really!

I went to the Womens Health Alliance and they were the worst group I have ever seen. Lied about being high risk qualified. Told me not to go to my perinatologist because they wanted to bill for my Ultrasounds in the office. Ignored my pre-eclampsia and prescribed medications which damaged my heart. And because I did not DIE I can not sue.
Use at your own risk.

I go to the Womens Health Allliance in Dallas. My doctor is Dr. Kurian. I really like her. She kind and patient. She also saw my daughter for her first exam and made her feel totally comfortable. Good Luck with your choice.

This is the best website I found for my OB. Dr. Jeffery Nelson
http://www.healthgrades.com/directory_search/Physician/Pr...
I was done having kids when I meet him, so I do not know if he does what you are asking. He has at least 2 office locations - one in Forney (the new med building behind the new Jack in Box) and one in Rowllet. He is affiliated w/Lakepointe Medical Center. He is young and very friendly and understanding. I also heard that Dr Gilliean (sp?) is good, she works in the same office. Good luck!

Karen,

My doctor is Dr. Inzer and I really like him. He has a dry sense of humor but is very intelligent and on top of his game. He made my pregnancy with my youngest daughter so much easier to go through. He had to go out of town and Dr. Kurian delivered my daughter. They are both great doctors. I use both facilities and really enjoy the convenience that brings me. I would recommend anyone to use them. Before I could never say that.
Good Luck

I have been a patient of Women's Health Alliance for 20 years. Wow that is wild to say. Dr. Robert Inzer and Dr. Robert Matthews have both been my doctor at various stages of my life. Dr. Matthews is my current doctor and I absolutely love him. He is compassionate and funny, shoots straight from the hip, doesn't mince words, tells you like it is. I highly recommend their office. The other reason I love the practice is they have the two offices. While I was pregnant with my children I would set up the appointments in Dallas if I wanted to stop in on my way to work or in Mesquite if I wanted to leave work a little early and then head on home afterwards. I too live in Forney and enjoyed getting home a little early.
