Hey Ladies :) Just wondered if any of you have a solution to getting cotton T's back to being white? My aunt was in from MI helping me plant a garden for my first time :) And she was helping out in the house w/ cleaning (bleached my good wash clothes b/c she prefers bleach water over lysol wipes..lol) Just did thing different, but I'm so grateful she was here and helped me!! However, she threw a load of clothes in that had red/maroon towels and my lil' mans undershirts. His shirts got dyed pink!! I re-washed them today in bleach even a pre-wash cycle too and nothing. Soo is there any other nifty ideas out there or should I teach my son now, that real men wear pink..lmao Any advice I'd appreciate.. Thank you so much :)

**EDIT.. yes they were dried.. She washed them and then threw them in the dryer for me :)

What can I do next?

you might try Laundry Bluing...it is supposed to be a whitener, one of my friends swears by it. Also I think Rit makes a color remover...but I am with the mom that says tos sthe undershirts and start over as you will probably spend as much time and energy and money on products as the new shirts would cost = )

Time to teach your son that real men wear pink. LOL

If bleach didn't work, maybe try a dye remover. Rit used to make one I think.

Will your Aunt come to my house? She sounds wonderful and I don't mind pink undershirts. :P

Honestly, if they are just undershirts, get a new pack and move on! If you're already tried bleaching and they have been dried, I think it's a lost cause! You can try soaking them in oxy clean, I do love that stuff, but I'm not hopeful for you! ;)

I hope the color didn't set when the shirt was put in the dryer. I have tried rit and it worked, I have also heard from relatives and seen that when you put them out to dry in the sun the sun will make it more white (sunbleach). Good luck

let the pink shirts sit in bleach water.I would let them sit in a bucket or sink for at least a half and hour then out them in the wash by themselves and wash them again in hot water again. oxy clean is also good.i got a red wine stain out of my white shirt by soaking it overnight in oxyclean.

i would try soaking them in oxyclean! that stuff works miracles.
if you havent dried them than you can still get the dye out. but i cant say for sure if it will work if you have dried them, because sometimes drying the clothes sets the stains in.

Either he wears pink or you buy him new shirts. My husband looks good in pink, (o:

I did this when I was younger to some of my mom's wash. Rit dye remover works great! just be sure to rewash and rinse them well since it's probably not great next to his skin.
