Good Morning Mothers:
My daughter does not sleep well without a white noise.
We have a small two bedroom home.
Any suggestions on a LOUD white noise?
I use a fan but noticed that it is getting dirty and I would like to replace with either a new fan or a LOUD air purifier.
Thanks so much for reading my question and for any advise.
Have a great week!

M.,

My children are the same. I bought a "noise Machine" on www.onestepahead.com . It is wonderful and I have tried many. This one has many options of sound and you have a great range of volume. I have three and buy them for gifts for new parents. I have never found anything better!!!!

You could just get a clock radio that has a sound soother function, or even just a sound soother. I have both (one for each kid's room). Not more than $15, bought them at Target. The sound soother machine was in the drugstore area, near other sleep aids. They both have different sounds to choose from -- wind is like white noise, but sometimes my daughter chooses Ocean. The nice thing with these is that we can travel with them too.

I have a preemie daughter who needs to sleep with a white noise machine too. We do use an alarm clock with a "white noise" button. However, we just received a Sleep Sheep. It's an adorable sheep that has different sounds-we love the heartbeat and the whale sounds. It also has a timer on it if you would like to use it. We love our Sleep Sheep-it's soft and cute and works great...and we can take it with us!

Those sound machines can get pretty loud. I got my last one over at Bed, Bath and Beyond. No one in this house can sleep without one!!

Mom of 4, 2 grandkids, pampered chef and partylite, yay!

I have the Sound Conditioner from JcPenney. You can only get them thru the catalog or online and they are about $50, but so worth it. We have them in all of our bedrooms just to drown out any outside noise. Plus my 7 month old goes to bed earlier than the 3 year old, so she can sleep well even if he is running around.

I also use a sound soother with my kids. My son's I bought at Walgreens, just a clock radio with sounds- I always use the rain noise. It really helps! Good luck

We used a white noise cd for my son when he had sleeping issues. It had a fan, car, washing machene, vacuum and some other noises on it. We also used (and still do) classical music. He won't nap without it.
Good Luck!

I use a cheapy air purifier from Target/Walmart. There are usually 2-3 settings for how loud it will be. Both of my kids are light sleepers and this drowns out the noise nicely. You definitely need a cheapy one as the more expensive ones might be not be as loud.

We use a humidifier for both our kids. In the summer, we just don't put any water in it.

Good luck.

We use an adjustable air purifier I bought at Menards. It is nice because we can adjust the setting and how loud it is. I used to use a humidifier, but then it got too humid in there.

We use a humidifier set on the loudest setting for both our son and for my husband and me. I think the ones we have we bought at Target for around $20.
