Aloe Vera -- the lighter green, thin skinned kind.
Spider plants - with lots of water.
Mother-in-Law tongue
Sago Palms

How much space do you have? If you have more height than width, go with the MIL tongue.

If you have more width than height, go with the Aloe or Sago Palm.

Arfrican violets ---just water from the base or under the leaves. They should not be watered on the leaves.

As others have noted, spider plants are good once they have a chance to adapt to full sun. They also grow well in less-sunny windows, and a sudden change can mean some burned leaves.

To find your full range of options, google "sun-loving house plants" and similar links. The choices are wonderful, from cactus and succulents to old standards to new, exotic wonder plants. Hope you find one you love!

We have an awesome spider plant hanging from our window (it gets evening sun so not all day but it would be fine with all day sun.

baby rose plants love all day sun...but can be a challenging plant to take care of.

Snake plant (MIL's tongue) could do good in a spot like that

African violets, aloe vera plant.

How 'bout a nice small tree? A ficus, or a dwarf lemon, any dwarf citrus will do well if it gets sun all year.
