I've read a lot about Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor, but it looks complicated and IS expensive. If something has worked for you, let me know. Or if you recommend a trusted source please let me know!!

What can I do next?

I went ahead and bought the Monitor you are talking about off of ebay. Got it alot cheaper than what stores were selling them as. It was very easy to use and worth the money. Before I bought the monitor I was using the clearblue easy ovulation kits that gave you a smiley face if you were ovulating - made it easy to read - the others that gave the lines I just couldnt tell or not if I was getting a positive or not.

I am done with my monitor and live in Schererville, IN. I would be more than happy to sell it to you. Email me if interested.

I used the plain old CVS and Walgreens brand. If you learn how to read them correctly, the brand doesn't matter.

check out the website: www.peeonastick.com

It gives examples of many of the popular tests, instrcutions on how to read each of them correctly and examples of positives, negatives and false positives.
it also compares brands.

Don't waste your money on the monitor. I bought it with the sticks and realized the sticks change for peak ovulation if you compare them to the day before's, much cheaper option and works great. You'll notice the stripe. I used them for both pregnancies. Only used the monitor a couple of times. I hated trying to take my temp and waiting for it to beep and trying to track it, never worked for me so invested in the Clear Blue Easy set. On a side note, take tons of Folic Acid before getting pg and at least for the first 3 months. If you need help regulating your cycle, try acupuncture, those are my two tips. Good luck to you.

I wouldn't use online ones. Most pee sticks are good, but CB is best! It isn't complicated at all.

Do you just mean the ovulation kits? I've used a few different brands. The ones I ended up liking the best are the Answer brand lab strips. They are one of the cheaper ones (if not the cheapest) They work just as well as any other brand that I've tried and they give you 20 strips plus one pregnancy test. So I feel like I get my moneys worth. Plus with 20 test strips you can start testing right after your period without worrying about running out before you ovulate. Or have extra for the next month if you don't get pregnant that cycle.

Clear Blue Easy IS expensive but not complicated at all. I used it successfully. You turn the device on daily and then one day at the appropriate time in your cycle it will signal you to POAS. You insert the stick in the device and it reads your hormone levels. You'll do this for several days. When you reach a fertile period, it will let you know. It also tells you when an egg is about to be released. As I remember, you wind up POAS about 10x a month. 30 test sticks should last about 3 months. It is a very smart device. I'm sure even smarter now...the one I used was 5 years ago. Hope this helps!

As an option, there are free, "ovulation calendars" online, that you might Google search.

The thing is to track your periods/ovulation cycles.
And when you are ovulating, you are fertile or can get pregnant.

You could take a natural family planning class. It costs about $100 through the couple to couple's league. It's not just about preventing pregnancy but rather about fertility awareness and helps you understand your cycle and achieve pregnancy if you're tying to have a B..
