I"ve had a few Honeywell humidifiers and I think they work great. I haven't found the need to buy the higher end. We have bought lower end Honeywells (I think they sell them at Target) and they've been perfectly fine.

I love the Winnie the Pooh cool mist humidifier! It is so cute and it is very easy to use. It also has a built in night light.

I have tried all kinds of humidifiers for over a decade - mists - hot or cold. Most gave up after 2-3 seasons; but Vornado lasted for over a decade. It is expensive so I purchased just one (over a decade ago); but after others broke down, I bit the bullet and bought two more for my children's rooms.

When my son was young we used a cool mist humidifier. Now we use a Vicks warm mist humidifier.

I love humidifiers. I have bought many over the years. They work for a little while and then go out, right after the warranty is up. I have purchased the ones with filters and the ones that don't need them. The ones with filters end up being more expensive but, often seem to last longer.

My favorite was my Holmes Ultrasonic Humidifier for rooms over 500 sq feet. I loved it. I only had to fill it up once every couple days. I could run it all the time. I used it for just under a year (8 months.) until it failed to work, but was still under warranty.

I called Holmes and they were going to send me out a replacement...for free. Sadly, it was the teeny, tiny, desk humidifier that runs for 8 hours, max. I have to remember to shut it off in the morning or it just keeps running on empty! It's more of hassle than it's worth, IMO.

I asked Holmes why they couldn't send me out an equivalent replacement and she said "Our warehouse is out." What?? Apparently stocking the stores is more important than taking care of customers who already bought their junk that doesn't last even a year!

So I give their products an F and their customer service in honoring their warranties an F.

I will buy a different brand next time!

The Crane animal ones at Target are the only ones that last. I've tried about 10. :)

We really like the animal ones, I forget the brand name, Crane I think, but they sell them at Babies r Us and Target for sure. They work great, the tank is a good size, they have varying speeds and look cute too!
