I am in need of spring/summer maternity clothes however, I can't really afford the expensive new clothes. Does anyone know where there are some local consignment/second hand stores for clothes? Thanks

What can I do next?

I can understand the expense of maternity wear. I found Old Navy and Target to be the best sales. However, you can also just buy larger sized clearance clothing like I did.
Walmart is always good,

Hi K.,
You may want to check Craigslist.com or a local paper that comes to your town. I ended up buying some great stuff from a woman that lived the next town away from me. Also, Old Navy & Target typically have great sales on their maternity clothes.
Good luck,
R.

Mother and Child!!! Hands down, the very BEST there is! I started shopping there when I was pregnant and still shop there with my 10 year old daughter.

It was started by a single Mom many years ago, it is not a chain or a franchise. It is large, open, airy and clean. The people are super - and you can shop there till your child is in their teens.

We also consign her clothes there when she is done with them, so not only do I shop with store credit, but she has learned, from the very beginning, to "give her clothes to someone who needs them" when we consign them! (That might even be my favorite part - teaching her to GIVE.)

RUN - do not walk - to Mother and Child now! It's on 101A, across from Wendy's, in the same strip as the Lilac Blossom, near Pennichuck Square.

some of the consignment stores for kids have a maternity sections. I think Childrens Orchard in Danves (Endicott Plaza where the Market Basket and Chucky Cheese) has a section. Depending on how big you are, you might be able to fit into the big and tall at a consignment store too. Hope that helps!

Lots for tots in Manchester has a small section of decent used maternaty clothes, Good will is might too but its hard to come by. Burlington coat factory has cheap new stuff, ive seen jeans for 10$, after i was pregnant of course!,
