We are finding out the sex of our little one next week, YAY, and everyone at work is anxious to find out the sex as well. I wanted to come in wearing either a "It's a Boy" or "It's a Girl" tshirt. Does anyone know where I can find them in Frisco, Plano or the Allen area? I don't want to order over the internet because I would like to try them on and make sure they fit good everywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you to everyone for the congratulations and the GREAT advice! I, of course, ended up waiting until the last minute, so I went the Hobby Lobby route. I got a shirt and cute little iron on letters. It turned out really great, and worked perfect for telling everyone at the office. Most of them thought I had bought it already made. Thanks again to everyone! Oh, and IT'S A GIRL!!!!
You may try making one, quickly. Get a $5 t-shirt at Michael's. Then, get iron-ons there. I think they have letters, or maybe even "it's a..". Or, a quick embroidery. If you want to buy it online, I get a lot of our T's from cafepress.com. They have LOADS of selections and sayings for any color, size, even thickness of T-shirt.
My son's kindergarten teacher found out the gender of her baby last year, she wore a BRIGHT PINK shirt the day she was telling everyone. It was obvious to those of us who were interested! I don't know where to find a shirt that says such but you could make your own from t-shirts @ Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Buy the appropriate color & use fabric paint to make your own saying. Congrats!!
Congratulations!!! Trimesters store at Firewheel Mall. They have "It's a Boy", "It's a Girl", "Coming this...(fill in your due month)" As well as some other VERY cute shirts. You are welcome to try on anything they have. They usually have a pretty good clearance rack too full of sales. I absolutely loved this store when I was pregnant. I am sure you will find what you are looking for and probably more!!!
I would also suggest Pickles and Ice Cream in Plano. It is located on Preston, just south of Spring Creek, on the west side. In the shopping center with Weir's Furniture, Mi Cocina, Starbuck's, Sur la Table, etc. I know they had the "due in May, June, etc." t-shirts, so I bet they also have "it's a boy/girl" ones. Go to Pickles & Ice Cream in Plano--I can't remember the intersection, but it's just a bit east of the tollway, maybe off Preston??? They have two locations...one in Plano and one in Dallas. They have really cutsie shirts. OH and I just found the CUTEST t's that I wish I had found while I was pregnant...but it is a website, www.muzeclothing.com. The theme of each shirt revolves around a famous movie line. They have a maternity t that reads "Say Hello To My Little Friend" with an arrow pointing down to your belly. To funny! Also, look for the t-shirt brand 2 Chix or Two Chix (something like that). They have really fun, chic, and trendy t shirts. I had one with three "no" symbols on it for "no martinis", "no smoking", and "no sushi". I got tons of complements on it.
Perhaps a hospital gift shop or Babies "R" Us.
The stores in the hospital usually have them, but truly the best ones are on-line.
I had trouble finding such a shirt when I was expecting one of mine, but I bought a nice fitting plain t-shirt and ironed on sequin letters I bought at Hobby Lobby. It was inexpensive, easy, and I think it looked cute. By the way, congratulations! Nothing changes your life for the better more than your first baby.
Go to a sports shop that makes the team t-shirts. They have all kinds of shirts and can print or embroider anything you want. When I have used my local shop (Princeton) it only takes a few hours or a day to get it done. Congratulations!
