I live in Denton and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to buy organic meat and organic or raw milk in the area. Also, will I be able to do this without going broke? I would be willing to travel at least 45 minutes. Thanks.

What can I do next?

Many of the farmer's markets have meat from Dominion Farms or Rehoboth Ranch. Raw milk is a well-guarded "secret", since most of it is sold under the table. There are some dairies that have received state certification for selling raw milk, but they are few and far between. You might also check out www.YourHealthSource.org for organic produce. Sometimes, depending on your pick-up spot, they will have access to raw milk, eggs, and meats. Good stuff! Welcome to Texas!

Hi L.,
I buy from Kroger, Target, and sometimes Walmart. I am not sure where to but raw milk.
The milk is about 6.80 a gallon, and the meats are of course higher, about 20 to 30%.
I live in South Denton too ! I have 2 kids at home a 5 yr old girl and a 4 year old boy!
Let me know if you need other info. We moved here 3 years ago, I have learned alot, and ther are many new stores.

try taking 380 out to the whole foods market in Plano. I have heard excellent things about them.

On Mondays Central Market has Moo Mondays. You get 3 half gallons of milk for 5.00. There is no quantity restriction. That´s about the same price for regular milk. I also think their organic meat, poultry, fish is all pretty reasonably priced. And ALL their meats are hormone and antibiotic free. Hope it helps.
