We've got a little rat terrior that we need to have spayed & she also needs her rabies shot. We live in Irving so I've been looking around this area & the prices are ridiculous!!! Is there anywhere I can get this done that's not upwards of $300??? Thanks!

That price is very average.

Pets are most expensive to own their first year b'c of all the accesssories, shots and spaying to be done. It does get cheaper the 2nd year and so on.
I take my pets to Decatur Vet Clinic in Decatur off of 287. It's a bit of a drive but their prices are worth it. I just had my chihuaha spayed and it was $80 and they keep them overnight to monitor them. This price is for dogs up to 40 pounds I think. Their rabies shots ar $10.
My friend took her cat to the SPCA, and they were very inexpensive compared to other vets. This was the one on Industrial Blvd.
